Full description

Journey through the beautiful countryside of Southern Iceland and into the highlands through Þjórsárdalur valley and visit Hjálparfoss waterfall. Depart from Reykjavik and head to the Landmannalaugar geothermal area often referred to as “The Pearl of the Central Highlands.” Landmannalaugar’s colorful mountains are formed by centuries of volcanic activity in the area and the picturesque natural landscape in this raw climate is simply breathtaking.

Enjoy a relaxing bath in a natural warm pool which was created by the combination of the area's hot and cold springs, or take a leisurely hike in the surrounding rhyolite mountain paths. Your tour continues west and past Iceland’s most infamous and active volcano, Hekla, which was believed to be the gateway to hell during the Middle Ages. After exploring Iceland's unique volcanic landscapes, return to Reykjavík over Hellisheiði Mountain heath.

An incredible experience, we had a magical moment despite complicated weather with heavy rain and an icy wind. The road is quite scary to reach the drop point, going through professionals as was the case is therefore strongly advised, we saw a 4x4 which could not distribute on the return due to the rising waters when our guide knew perfectly how to maneuver. The short hike is wonderful, the stops and in particular the secret valley were breathtaking and finally the hot bath despite the impossibility of changing easily and the freezing cold was well worth all your trouble, go for it!

while it's an activity for which we were 12 hours on the road, we ended up walking only 2 hours in the highlands, which disappointed me completely because I thought I would be in contact with such beautiful nature for more time. In the end, however, it is still worth choosing this activity because the beauty of the landscape compensates you

That was for sure one of the most adventurous days of my life! Landmannalaugar turned out to be covered in lots of snow (so unfortunately we didn't see any colors of the mountains underneath)but sometimes the unexpected turns out to be the best. The drive there was aready an adventure itself and it wasn't sure if we would be able to actually get there because of all the snow on the streets. We actually made it to Landmannalaugar and were speechless from all its beauty. The bath in the natural hot springs after the hike was very good also. Our guide Simon was the best guide you could wish for, always in a super good mood, cracking jokes and acting very responsible for the group. He managed to get the bus out of the snow multiple times when it got stuck and he even was so extra kind to take four people back to Reykjavik with us whose truck got stuck in a puddle on the street. I didn't feel unsafe for a second. Without Simon this day wouldn't have been helped as great as i
