Full description

Embark on a trip around the beloved Golden Circle, a must-see area you cannot miss during your time in Iceland. Enjoy three stops on the classic route and some staff favorites as extra stops. Visit Kerid Crater (entry included) and try the best tomato soup in the country at the Fridheimar Tomato Farm.

Head to the Thingvellir National Park first. Learn the history behind this park and get a one-of-a-kind opportunity to walk from the European tectonic plate to the North-American one.

Discover the original geyser, Geysir, and its little brother, Strokkur, which is still active today and erupts every 5-8 minutes. Set up your cameras and catch this spectacular activity.

Then, see Gullfoss, the golden waterfall, and spot the Langjökull glacier on the horizon if it’s sunny enough. Stop at Fridheimar Tomato Farm to learn about the use of local geothermal energy and experience how this process works.

Before the end of the trip, visit another secret staff favorite: the Kerid volcanic crater in the Grímsnes area. Marvel at the caldera that’s 55-meters deep and 270-meters wide. At the bottom, find an amazing aquamarine blue lake.

we had a great experience on the tour. It was 12 of us and another 2 small families on the tour. Hermann was our tour guide and he was funny, informative and very personable. Each of the stops were great and pretty well timed with sufficient rest/toilet breaks. There was wifi on the bus, so the kids in our group were able to be kept busy as some of the times between stops were a little long. Tours are made by the tourguide and that's really the highlight for our day. Other than Hermann, interestingly enough the stop at the tomato farm was pretty cool as well and a nice "bonus" as we saw the Icelandic highlights.

Brilliant trip, our tour guide Mat was excellent, really funny, enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the island and the sights. Our journey was slightly altered in that we did the journey in reverse due to the weather conditions and as we were slightly Longer than the usual trip time, Mat even dropped us off at the harbour on our way back so we wouldn’t be late for our next excursion! Would book with this company again, it was nice to be on a smaller bus with a nice small group of people!
