  • Reykjavik: Silver Circle, Canyon Baths, and Waterfalls Tour

    4. Reykjavik: Silver Circle, Canyon Baths, and Waterfalls Tour

Start in Reykjavik and head to Borgarnes, the gateway to West Iceland. Make your first stop at Deildartunguhver, the most powerful hot spring in Europe, which is so strong that it provides hot water and power for the locals for miles around. Spend some time walking amongst the steaming clouds of vapor. Move onto Hraunfossar, also known as the "Lava Waterfalls." Take in the sight from several viewing platforms and see how the water stretches for nearly a kilometer over ancient lava fields, with meltwater from the Langjokull glacier pouring into the Hvita river. Just a few yards away is Barnafoss, also known as “the waterfall of the children,” named after the tragic tale of two local children. Your next stop is Husafell, a breathtaking woodland oasis and a historical site with traditional turf houses and even some “elf huts” to delight the children, too. See intriguing works by local art...

I did this experience on the 12th September. The driver was wonderful, he was a great communicator, very helpful and happy to answer any questions. I learned a lot about the history of the area. The van had USB ports and wifi and was very comfortable. The tour was similar as a lot of others, you some of the many waterfalls of Iceland. What made it special was the visit to Husafell, the original strongman stone and the hot pools nearby.

  • From Reykjavik: Hot Spring, Ice Cave & Snowmobile Tour

    5. From Reykjavik: Hot Spring, Ice Cave & Snowmobile Tour

Driving through the Geysir Hot Spring area with its boiling mud pits and spouting hot springs, you will head straight toward Langjökull Glacier for a snowmobile tour. The surrounding snowfields will take your breath away while you enjoy the thrill of dashing across Europe’s second largest glacier. Continue to a glacial ice cave, going over 300 feet deep into the ancient ice. Marvel at the layers of ash from past volcanic eruptions. For your last stop of the day tour in Iceland, be taken near the small village of Flúðir. Ease into a secret outdoor lagoon, a natural hot spring, for a luxurious bath to soothe all your cares away.

Snow mobile was a lot of fun. We did not get to go to the ice cave. Not really an explanation of why, the guide said people were checking it out and we never heard anymore. The secret lagoon was good, nice and warm. Very crowded for a winter's afternoon.

  • Iceland Secret Lagoon Admission Ticket

    8. Iceland Secret Lagoon Admission Ticket

Originally built in 1891, the ‘Gamla Laugin’  is Iceland’s first swimming pool. Spend time in this relaxing setting feeling your worries slip away. A natural hot spring feeds the lagoon with 38-39°C water  that bubbles up from deep within the earth at a rate of 10 litres per second, constantly replenishing itself so that there is a steady supply of fresh clean water in the pool at any given time, letting you rest as long as you need.  Enjoy brand new facilities at the Secret Lagoon including changing rooms, showers, resting rooms, bar and restaurant area.  Situated in a remote location in Fluðir, the Secret Lagoon is just an hour away from Geysir, 1 hour and 20 minutes from Reykjavik and 2 hours from Vik making it a great desination on your trip to Iceland.

The Secret Lagoon is delightful resting 'activity' to add to your adventure travels in Iceland. We had been horse-back riding and hiking a whole lot and felt a bit tired and sore. Floating in the lagoon was just the perfect cure for that! It seemed like a much less formal and sophisticated version of the Blue lagoon, which we also visited, and I liked it all the more for that. Definitely worth visiting!

A brilliant day out. Our guide was Baldur, ex psychologist and a man of knowledge and tales. He made the day what it was with several scenic detours along the way. The stops we made were very beautiful with just the right amount of time at each stop - we saw the waterfalls, geysers, crater and finally the blue lagoon - well worth a visit and a great end to the day. As our hotel was outside of the pick-up zone the company even sent a driver to pick us up unlike other companies where you have to get a taxi to the pick-up points. The best tour of our trip. Highly recommended.

This is wonderful and very enjoyable experience. Our tour guide Baldur is very good and knowledgeable. It's important to dress in layers and bring waterproof/windproof jacket that you can put on/off depending on the location and weather because the weather very much changeable. Blue lagoon experience is really great, service & the facility is amazing although we had a comfort ticket only. Iceland is very beautiful country and plenty of activities

This was an excellent, informative tour! We only had 3 days in Iceland and wanted an all-encompassing tour and this one fit the bill! A full-day tour (12 hours) included major sights along the Golden Circle and ended with a spectacular Blue Lagoon experience. Brian, our drive was excellent and courteous - giving us detailed history and explanations of everything we saw. Highly recommended!!

We were so lucky to see a fresh lava flow. Simon and his father were so supportive, knowledge and encouraging. Thankd you

Great way to see Iceland in limited time. One of the best days. Thank you
