Full description
Your tour starts with a pick-up in Jodhpur at around 2:30PM from either your hotel, the airport or the train or bus station. From here you will travel by a private car to Osian where you have the chance to independently visit two famous temples, the Sachiya Mata Temples, which features a vast expanse of intricately carved marble. After taking in the temples, you will go to a desert village where you will be welcomed by a traditional Indian ceremony. Following this you can rest and relax for a couple of hours at a home stay before you head to the starting point for your camel safari. The camel ride is considered a peak experience in Rajasthan, and you can expect to spend between one to two hours riding your camel through the Thar Desert. You can stay to watch the skies and sands change colors during the sunset hour, before you return to your home stay where you will enjoy traditional Marwari food before you spend the night either sleeping under the stars or in a hut. The next morning you will be offered breakfast, before you return to your private vehicle for your transfer back to Jodhpur.

I've been to several countries so far and have had a great time fighting for twelve. Walk in the desert on a camel and play volleyball and cricket with local children. We went on a camel to watch the sunset, took pictures like pictures, ate rice, and talked to local people while having a campfire. Finally, I go to bed watching the starry sky. After getting up in the morning, enjoy the wonderful view of the sunrise and wash your head with a little reddish hot water and enjoy breakfast. It was really nice to be able to experience it while you were young! It was the best! It became a very fun and wonderful memory that felt the size of the earth and the world!

We paid £116 for two people. For this price we would have expected more. The description doesn't match the experience provided. There was no traditional Indian welcome, and we had to remind the family we had signed up for a sunset camel ride as they were going to walk us somewhere in a jeep to watch the sunset instead. We did ride the camels for sunset but it was a half an hour ride around their farm land to the highest point. Sleeping under the stars was sadly not as good for star gazing as we had hoped due to the outside lights kept on overnight. The hut we slept in was warm and clean, except for the ensuite bathroom which was not very clean. If it had been described as above and costed at half the price we would have been satisfied. The family were friendly, the food was simple but tasty, and camels were novel. However, it was in no way was it worth the price we paid.
