1. From Phuket: 3-Day PADI Open Water Diver Certification
The Padi and Ssi Open Water Diver course is divided into 3 main segments: 1) Theory Segment – knowledge development to understand the basic principles of scuba diving 2) Practical Segment – confined water dives to learn basic scuba skills (in the pool) 3) Practical Segment – discover scuba diving experience, the skills you have acquired may be credited towards a portion of the full PADI Open Water Diver course certification Day 1 8:00am – Meet your Padi instructor at the dive center for the theory segment 1:00pm – Lunch 10:30am – Pool session 2:00pm – Theory segment and exams Day 2 --> Racha Yai Koh Racha Yai is the largest of the two islands located off the southeastern coast of Phuket. Different kinds of corals can be spotted here with the staghorn coral predominating in many areas. Marine life is rich and species such as barracuda, tuna and milkfish can be found in this area. The better place for diving is located on the East Coast along the hard coral reef where there are shipwrecks and good drifts. 7:30am – Pick-up from your hotel and transfer to Chalong pier 8:00am – Welcome aboard! Breakfast is provided on the way to the first diving site 10:00am – First dive 11:00am – Hot buffet lunch served on board. Time for some snorkeling and sunbathing after lunch 12:30pm – Second dive 1:30pm – Rest and relax. Enjoy fresh tropical fruit and soft drinks on the way back to Chalong pier 12:30pm – Hot buffet lunch on board 3:30pm – Back to Chalong Pier 4:00pm – Transfer back to your hotel Day 3 --> Koh Phi Phi Island Phi Phi Islands has one of the most spectacular landscapes where the vertical cliffs of Thailand are the backdrop of the beautiful beaches. These islands became even more renowned when Danny Boyle filmed the movie ” The Beach” starring Leonardo Di Caprio in 1998. Koh Phi Phi Don, the bigger of the two islands is where you would be able to find numerous backpacker's inns, guesthouses and hotels. Phi Phi Le is the smaller island where there is a national park. In fact, there are two smaller islands, namely, Koh Bida Nok and Koh Bida Nai next to Koh Phi Phi Le towards the south. They are limestone rocks where you can find an outstanding variety of marine life. 7:30am – Pick-up from hotel and transfer to Chalong pier 8:00am – Welcome aboard!
