I recommend doing this tour if you have little time, otherwise, do the volcano one day and the lagoon another, since it will be more complete and adventurous. Our guide, Irene, is fluent in Spanish and English, and the explanations are good and interesting. It also takes very good photos. Thank you very much for the experience!!!

Overall it was okay, unfortunately the stay at the crater was too short. I would have liked to hike a bit more. The length of the stay does not correspond to the effort required to get there. The Mottagessem took the longest time on site. Which I attended because I knew we wouldn't be back until after 8 a.m. on Sunday.

I enjoyed every part of this trip!! Our tour guide, Heidi, was sweet and very animated. Spoke clearly in both English and Spanish. Paola, the wonderful Botanist we picked up for Cotopaxi way definitely the highlight of this trip. Her energy and love for Cotopaxi gave her this glow that was absolutely infectious. In the best way possible. I wish she was part of the entire trip. I would’ve followed her anywhere. The only downsides were - Heidi brought politics into the tour. With everything that’s been going on in Ecuador, I found it in poor taste. The bus driver had several minutes of amnesia because he decided to text and drive. We could see the bus between two lanes and his eyes down at his phone. We alerted Heidi about our concerns and he stopped. It should never have happened in the first place. The bus is really old. Ventilation only exists with the windows opened but everything has to be closed due to the dust in a good part of the way. Overall, I would recommend booking!!
