I just got back from today’s excursion and it was absolutely incredible! Daniel was our guide and he was easily one of the best guides I’ve ever had. He was engaging, helpful, and super knowledgeable! I would absolutely go on another tour with him. Cotopaxi and Quilotoa were amazing! I would absolutely recommend! We did get very lucky with the weather but if you have even decent weather it will be time and money well spent. I will say if you get car sick do not go on this trip. Many hours on a bus on extremely winding roads! But having said that if that won’t bother you the views are incredible!

My dad and I had an incredible introduction to the countryside and mountains surrounding Quito. Our guide was so enthusiastic and extremely well-versed with information about Cotopaxi volcano national park and our visit to Quilotoa to see the volcanic crater. Seeing and understanding the agricultural and cultural aspects was so informative. We do recommend this excursion….though keep in mind that weather can affect what you can see and it’s a lengthy day ! We enjoyed the pace and never felt rushed.

Cotopaxi is really beautiful and we were lucky that the clouds had cleared. Our main guide was great and the local guide from Cotopaxi region really gave great information. Quilotoa was beautiful too but it took a while to hike down and then we were told we only had minutes before going up. We didn’t leave the city until after an hour past our meetup time. I wish the logistics had been a little better. Fantastic value for the money and a great day overall!
