Great journey on the Earnslaw, such a shame that it rained all day. I did try to defer to the next day but this was not very flexible due to less than 24 hours notice. Animal farm was great - would have been more enjoyable on a dry day of course. The afternoon tea was quite average ; old scones & low quality confectionery jam, plus full of sparrows pooping everywhere & eating the food!
Its very cool to be on TSS Earnslaw Cruise ship. The Walter Peak Farm Tour is also very interesting. Its unique experience to see how to sheer a sheep and how the dogs work on a farm. Other animals on the farm are also very cute and lively, can be real close to them.
relaxing picturesque steam boat ride over to the farm where we sat in comfortable arena and watched shhep shearing and dogs rounding up sheep. really enjoyed this along with information provided. after this we went round feeding all the animals which was good fun.
The entire experience was wonderful, as it always has been. It was my 8th trip on this historic steamship & apart from some severe wind along the southern shore heading into Walter Peak station, which was well handled by the captain, everything was exceptional.
We loved it! Especially seeing the team working hard stoking the fire with coal. Next time we'll book the longer package and enjoy time at Walters Peak Station.
