Such a challenging but exciting experience! It was only two of us and our guide Christophe was perfect! We had interesting conversations, he told a lot about Mauritius culture and history. He is a pleasant driver and his hiking/climbing instructions were superb! Climbing part was tough (the hike and climbing all together took around 3,5 hours and it was approx 8km round trip), at some parts the ascent was very steep and you had to use your hands. Please note that climbing experience is rather for sporty people. Also, I highly recommend to use hiking shoes, comfortable clothes and take with you a lot of water. It can be hot and also it can rain sometimes, so just take spare clothes and towel with yourself, because you def will get dirty and sweaty. I wouldn’t mind to use helmets for this activity, but it’s not offered for anyone. The view from the top is absolutely breathtaking and worth every hassle to reach there!

A trip that we could enjoy at any time. Unfortunately, our hotel was outside the specified pick-up zone, but pick-up was not a problem on request. Initially we were booked for the "morning session", but due to a short-notice change we were pushed into the afternoon tour, which later turned out to be a "lucky stroke" for us, since the crowds on the mountain were limited. Our guide Christophe was the next stroke of luck, from picking us up to returning to the hotel we felt completely at ease. With good English, the drive was a breeze due to Christophe's pleasant and fun personality. Also with clear and understandable instructions when going up and down the mountain, he guided us safely up the mountain and back down without making you feel unsafe. But the most important thing at the end: The view compensates for all efforts! For us, the excursion was definitely worth 5 stars!

Visit at the top with Ibrahim who knows the island by heart and who was able to tell us his story. In true communion with nature, he surprised us by making us discover coffee flowers, pink pineapples and many other things. Highly recommend if you want a full and detailed tour. Professional from A to Z. The only downside was the lunchtime restaurant where we were taken without much choice and expensive for what it is (17 euros for a rice/chicken dish).

Christopher is a great guide with whom you may learn how to climb the mountains and French language at the same time. Definitely suggest for team work achieving the mountain tops. You will know where to put your foot and mind Merci beaucoup

Ibrahim was a very nice driver, he talked us about Mauritius' history a lot. We have seen a lot of what there is to seen about Mauritius. Very nice tour! Well recommended!
