Full description

Sail across the emerald waters of the Venice lagoon on this full day trip to the islands of Burano, Murano and Torcello. Choose from an option with a shuttle transfer from S. Lucia Train Station to the departure point in San Marco or pick a tour option that meets in San Marco.

Meet an assistant in the morning who will be waiting for you at the meeting point 10 minutes before the departure. Hop aboard a comfortable water taxi and glide through the Lagoon of Venice. Admire views from the boat's panoramic terrace and listen to commentary from your guide.

Find out why the island is renown for its glassworks with a visit to a local glass factory. Watch a skilled artisan during a glass processing demonstration. Afterwards, have approximately an hour on the island for some pictures and shopping in one of many glass shops.

Head for Burano in the early morning which is known for its lacework and brightly colored houses. Follow your guide to the heart of the town and have 2-hours of free time to purchase a nice lunch, typical Venetian aperitifs, or get an ice cream at one of the many cafes.

Venture from Burano to Torcello the first center of civilization in the estuary. Spend an hour of free time where you can go to to see the Venetian-Byzantine mosaics at the Basilica di Santa Maria Assunta. Return to San Marco in the early evening.

Good value for money I thought. Instructions of where to go were clear and good communication. As others have said Torcello is not really worth it. Wish we had gone back to San Marco after Murano and Burano which were lovely islands to visit. The glass blower demonstration was amazing, however would have liked to have seen more than just 10 minutes.

The pickup location is easy to find however confusing because there are multiple boats for other tours. Don’t be afraid to ask people which boat is which as the tour operator wasn’t waiting at the area they were waiting at the entrance of the boat. Other than that the boat ride is great. It’s nice to see Venice from the water. Murano is such a cute town and the glass blowing was fun to watch. The houses on butane are so bright and fun to explore around. The last island torcello wasn’t anything special but there’s a small museum you can go in and a church.

Burano was fabulous… Murano was disappointing… Torcello should be struck off… there’s nothing there! Very difficult to know which boat to get on at Pier 1, 2, 3 as captain stayed on the boat and was only shouting the name in Italian so we couldn’t understand from the pier if it was the correct tour or not. Apart from that it was enjoyable
