3. From Montevideo: Punta del Este Full-Day Private Tour

Seaside city located 130km from Montevideo. A thin peninsula that enter into the sea and is the official limit between the Río de la Plata and the Atlantic Ocean. In this tour we will visit its most characteristic and important places, as well as other not so well-known points that only the locals frequent. It is one of the most important and chosen tourist centers in the country by thousands of visitors of all ages and nationalities, it also became synonymous with the international jet set decades ago. Not only its natural beauties are what make it stand out, but also its different architecture and the services it offers. This destination really includes 32km of coastline between what is Punta Ballena and Manantiales. Then, 20km from this last point is José Ignacio with its lighthouse. I cannot guarantee that we will visit this last point due to time issues, but that depends on you since it is your trip and beyond my recommendations, it is you who will set the time to enjoy each stop or attraction. Punta Ballena Here begins the area of our tour, a high point of rocks that juts out into the sea and offers a spectacular view on both sides. Here is the famous Hotel Casapueblo Museum, built by the artist Carlos Páez Vilaro. Las Grutas To the East of the above, under the slope and cliffs, is the small beach and village. A world apart isolated from the rest of the environment with hidden coves and caves. Mansa Beach Already entering our main destination, the first thing we have is this beach. We will walk along its boulevard making stops to go down to the beach, walk along the wooden walkways, take photos or whatever you like. We will also enter their residential neighborhoods. The peninsula At the end of the above we will be delving into it, which is the origin of the city. We will visit its historical places such as the Lighthouse and the Candelaria Church and its shopping center and famous Gorlero Avenue. Rambla Circunvalación and Punta de la Salina that separates the Río de la Plata from the Atlantic Ocean and is the southernmost point of the country. Port Luxurious yachts and sailboats are combined with artisanal fishermen who return from the sea and sell their fish. Large sea lions always come to wait for the fishermen to throw them leftover fish, so they are on the pier a few meters from the people, like “posing for a photo”. Brava Beach and The Fingers The first thing we will visit is the famous sculpture of Los Dedos, a mandatory stop for all visitors. Then, we will tour the entire boulevard and the adjacent neighborhoods such as San Rafael, Rincón del Indio, or Bevery Hills, making as many stops as you like. La Barra, Montoya, Bikini, Manantiales We will cross the Maldonado Stream through the famous undulating bridge and visit the small beaches shopping center and its narrow streets. After all this, if we still have time and you want, we can go another 20km East to José Ignacio a very nice village that has became very famous.

Wow! What a great tour. I loved getting out into other parts of Uruguay and hearing about the history of the country. The stop at Casapueblo was a highlight. Also, Marcella- the tour guide was very kind and made sure i was understanding all that was happening as I was the only English speaker on the bus. I HIGHLY recommend this tour. Looking forward to others as well!

Muito gostosa a visita, porem podíamos ficar 1 hora a mais por la rsrsrs... mas a Guia Carmem foi fantástica, muito simpatica a atenciosa com todos, vale muito a pena conhecer Punta Del Est.

it was good, however i would have liked to have more photo shoot opportunities on the way there as the bus does not stop except for a quick coffee on top of the hill

The guide was super nice and I had a great time in the city.
