    Enjoy early morning pickup at your hotel or accommodation in Arequipa, from where you will travel to the incredible Colca Canyon. After arriving to this natural habitat of the giant Andean condor, you will begin your all-day tour of this incredible area. Stop for breakfast in the charming town of Chivay and travel through the Andes villages before reaching the Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint. Once there, walk to the viewpoint and see the views of the surrounding landscape. Cross the Patapampa Pass and admire the beautiful flora and fauna of the area, where you'll also see the peaks of the Misti, Chachani, Pichu Pichu, and Ampato volcanoes. Following the tour you will have the option to go to the La Calera Hot Spring.     My girlfriend and I had a great tour. Saw active volcanoes and big condor birds in the colcoa canyon. The driver and guide were excellent and very knowledgeable. They even had some alcohol on hand to help with altitude sickness. Would recommend for other travelers

    Enjoy a 2-hour boat trip on Lake Titicaca and visit the floating islands of Uros. The inhabitants of the lake are referred to as the Water Tribe and have built their own islands with a local type of sugarcane. Their homes and boats are also made from this material. The next stop on this 7-hour activity is Taquile Island, inhabited by Quechua speakers who have developed unique and effective social systems and hand-weaving techniques. Stop for a typical lunch in the village of Taquile. Take a walk through the hills and archaeological sites of this 6-kilometer-long island before returning to Puno by boat.

    It was an amazing experience to get in touch with Taquile's island way of living as a coperative social group and in an indepedent way from the mainland country. People there were so kind to show us some of their customs and to serve us delicious sea food :-) we also enjoyed our time spent with some Uros families, who tried to explain us their way of living from fishing, making handicrafts and tourists visiting them. We would like to give many thanks to our guide who was very knowledgable about their customs and he gave us a nice tour in uros and taquile islands!! The boat driver was very good and we were feeling safe during the whole boat trip! We totally recommend this experience! :-)

    You’ll be picked up at your Puno accommodation at the beginning of this full-day excursion to Lake Titicaca. An English-speaking guide will accompany you as you travel to the lake’s islands of Uros and Taquille. Uros is a group of islands whose buildings are made entirely of tortora reeds. It is home to a small community that dates back to pre-Inca times. Spend some time with the local residents before continuing on to Taquile – an island whose culture is more closely related to that of the Aymara people of Bolivia. You’ll enjoy a locally prepared lunch on the island before visiting the local cooperative and seeing first-hand the skill of the local weavers. Return to Puno and to your lodge after a unique look at the cultures of these islands.

    You will be picked up from your hotel in Cusco between 6:25AM to 6:45AM, at which point you should be ready and waiting at the door of your hotel or reception. From there, the first stop will be to the Sistine Chapel of America, Andahuaylillas. Following the chapel you'll head to the archaeological center of Raqchi, where you will have the opportunity to take photos.     Depart from Puno's lake port to the floating islands of the Uros to begin your half-day tour. This site is home to an ancestral society that inhabits a series of artificial islands. It takes around 30 minutes to arrive at the islands. The islands are constructed from totora. It is collected from the places where it grows thick and weaved to form a natural layer. Even though the ground feels soft, the plant is very resistant and there is no risk when you walk on the layers. The Uros inhabitants also build their homes from this material. Have the possibility for visiting these altars with an Andean shaman and make an offering to the Pachamama, a mother earth that was allways considered an important goddess of life. Ich war von diesem Tour sehr gut überrascht. Super Organisation und Erklärungen vom Guides. Ich war ein bisschen skeptisch weil ich viele Kommentare darüber gelesen habe, dass es sehr turistisch geworden ist und nicht mehr so autentisch. Ich muss zustimmen aber es gibt ein Grund warum es so ist. Das war eine der interessantesten Erlebnisse für mich in Peru und wurde jedem empfehlen. Mir geht´s nicht darum ob sich die Einwohnern für die Turisten bekleiden, sondern wie sie dort leben und diese schwimmende Inseln bauen. Und ein Tip.. die Armbänder die man in Taquile zu verkaufen findet gibt es wirklich nur dort. Ich dachte es gäbe noch in Cuzco, aber gar nicht. Und die sind wirklich die schönste und autentischste. Schade, hätte ich das vorher gewusst.
