We will head to Hacienda Dona Engracia about a 25 min drive from our meeting point. There, we will match you with a horse that suits best your ability. Immerse yourself in the tranquility of the countryside and its beauty riding along the Mascota river viewing local scenery and vegetation. Bring your swimsuit for the swimming pool (if river conditions permit, you may enjoy a short swim with your horse). Your guide will take photos of you along the way with your camera if you wish. After riding, we will arrive at La Dulce Vista, where you will taste our own Artisanal Boutique Tequila (Blanco, Reposado & Anejo) and our premium Pink Tequila, which are made in small batches in the city of Tequila. Afterward, you will satisfy your appetite with a traditional Mexican Lunch! (vegetarian/vegan/pescatarian options)

Explore the beauty of the Sierra Madre Occidental mountain range as you ride through the forest and tropic jungle on the back of a horse. Meet your guide at one of the centrally-located meeting points in Puerto Vallarta and travel to the ranch. Here, hop on your horse and ride through the ranch's many acres of vegetation. Along the way, meet some local animals and admire native plants. Ride through dry and semi-dry forests, pastures, and growing areas as you pass through the foothills of the Sierra Vallejo. After your horse ride, enjoy some free time for a drink or bite to eat at one of the ranch's restaurants.

Your day begins at Vallarta Adventures’ departure points in Puerto Vallarta and Nuevo Vallarta where we will hop aboard a speedboat that will take us to a village called Yelapa. On arrival, to the coastal town of Yelapa, our caballerangos will be ready to saddle you up for a horseback or mule ride along the picturesque Yelapa river to admire the natural surrounding area. At the end of your time in Yelapa, you’ll have the opportunity to relax on the beach or just to chill at one of its beach restaurants, with a beer or a tropical drink on hand, while you enjoy the views of the fishing boats floating on Yelapa's warm waters. Upon returning to the boat, we’ll then make our way to Pizota, another small village with a small beach that’s only accessible by boat. In this private oasis, you’ll get to enjoy a delicious lunch, relax on the beach, as well as go snorkeling or kayaking. Once you’ve had your fill of relaxation and adventure, it's time to head home with another scenic boat ride back to where we started.

Your horseback ride through Sierra Madre Occidental mountains will take you up to Rancho el Jaguar. Follow your guide to the ranch and see the variety of flora and fauna the region has to offer. Your horseback ride will take you through dry and semi-dry forests, grasslands, and cultivation areas. As your horseback ride continues, you’ll travel through the humid mountain forest, past coniferous and oak forests up to a tropical retreat in Sierra Vallejo. After you’ve arrived at the ranch, you’ll jump on an ATV and start your second journey through the region. Follow winding trails as you slope, ascend and wind through the mountains. Your guide will point out flora and fauna along the way as you head to your final stop. Once your ATV ride is complete, take some time to refresh and relax by the pool. If you’re hungry, you can have lunch at the restaurant by the pool.
