1. Puerto Vallarta: Cooking Class and Market Tour

Start your culinary adventure through the flavors of Puerto Vallarta by meeting your guide for the day, an experienced local chef, at a produce market. With some fresh produce in hand, you’ll head to the chef’s house — where preparations for the lunchtime feast will begin. The cooking class is split between demonstrations and interactive portions, so you’ll be able to pick up some skills to bring the flavors of Jalisco home with you. Definitely worth the cost and a day of your time in beautiful PV! Enrique, our chef was a friendly and gracious host and tour leader. He took u Our group of 6 through a local market to buy our ingredients for the class. Loved his explanations about how to tell if a lime is ripe, the best avocados, the best tomatoes, etc. after the market we went to his very lively home to prepare our food. We all got to participate in grinding, chopping, stirring as we moved from course to course. We made delicious tostadas, a soup, mole sauce, and margaritas, even tortillas. The main entree was a beautifully seasoned baked chicken with the mole and our from scratch tortillas! My husband and I enjoyed this tour very much and recommend it to anyone interested in learning about genuine Mexican cuisine!

We loved the class! Our instructor was very kind, funny, and knowledgeable—I would recommend this for couples and platonic friends alike! Be prepared to make truffles as a pair. You get to mix your own medium ganache, spice it with a variety of flavors, and make them into bonbons. You’ll make truffles as well and top them with whatever you want! You will leave with at least 12 fancy chocolates. This place is so cute I really recommend it. You’d pay more for just the chocolate you leave with in the states. While this course is not necessarily vegan friendly, their shop has many vegan chocolate items for sale.

Really interesting and informative - not to mention delicious! Chef Enrique is knowledgeable and friendly and generous with this skills and home. Excellent activity to learn about Mexican cuisine and experience a bit of culture firsthand. And I won't hesitate to shop in a true Mexican market now that I know how!

Our family Had a super fun time with Elizabeth as our instructor - everyone had an opportunity to help during the process and we learned so much…… and being able to take home the chocolates we made was amazing! Thank you so much for the great experience and memories

Enrique was so pleasant! He was ready to talk history and traditions as well as show us how to prepare several Mexican dishes. We enjoyed ourselves very much!
