Full description
Immerse yourself in the culture and daily life of the Dominican people on this all-encompassing day tour. After getting picked up from your hotel, head for San Marcos, passing through rural communities and taking in the beautiful landscape as you drive. Along the way, see a typical Dominican patio at a country house full of domestic birds, visit a traditional plantation and stop to appreciate the impressive view of the Bay of Maimon.  Upon arrival at the community of Barrabas, learn how to make delicious pylon coffee and savor the rewards of your efforts with a sample afterwards. You'll also get the chance to visit a local public school and stop at an artisanal workshop to see how the locals make Taíno figures. Moving through the countryside, arrive at the municipality of Imbert and take the road to the Cascadas de Damajagua waterfalls.  Descend 12 of the 27 waterfalls one by one. Upon reaching the final waterfall, relax in a natural pool in the middle of the jungle before breaking for lunch. On the way back to your accommodation, travel through the Amber Cove Tourist Port and the Maimon district. Appreciate the small fishing villages, typical restaurants, and sugarcane plantations along the way.

Stated in the description of the experience that one would e.g. visit a school which we did not. That in the waterfalls you could swim o enjoy the jungle's "pool" after the waterfalls. They thought it more stressful to come back after coming down from the waterfalls.
