At the very end of the whale shark season we were lucky enough to see whale sharks. The pick-up at the hotel was uncomplicated, after about 1.5 hours we were at the marina in Cancun. From there we took the boat to the whale shark area. There were a few other other boats with us, but that didn't bother us too much. In two jumps we saw a whale shark - an impressive animal. After that we went to the reef for snorkeling and had cheviche, guacamole and nachos on the boat. Kudos to guide Veronica and the whole team on board (including caption Frank) for the great trip.

Tour starts very early, while others are just on their way to see the whale sharks, you are already driving back. Seasickness is not to be underestimated, but you will be well taken care of. Pick up on time, guide was great. Can only be recommended, even if you are only in the water with the whale sharks for a short time. Stopover at Isla Mujeres is relaxing, with some free time to swim in the turquoise waters. We skipped lunch because of nausea, so I can't rate it.

Great activity, very impressive to see. We had the chance to see a lot of whale sharks, it was incredible. They film with a GoPro, and you can buy the video at the end of the half day for a rather expensive price but which is sincerely worth it because unforgettable. Short break at the Playa Norte of Isla Mujeres on the way back, magnificent!

super fun experience. Juan Carlos, our guide was exceptional. his team was great. found the whales super quickly. water was very clear, so we could see perfectly the whales super close fron us.
