We had a nice view from La Izta on El Popo. Going up to about 4,500 m above sea level was a great experience. It took us 4 hours to hike 500 m in altitude. The guide Juan Pablo was super experienced and always friendly. He told me a lot of background information about the mountains and the society in Cholula. The driver Eduardo did a great job and brought us safely across the bumpy streets.

I was always convinced by GYG but feel cheated after this experience. In addition, the information about the journey to the starting point of the hike is not correct. First of all, instead of 1.5 hours, it ended up being 2.5 hours (cannot be shortened) and the journey leads over a stone and gravel track, on which you can only use second gear at most. Hikers know getting up early. The hike in the volcano park itself is beauti
