Calanques Cassis Hike: Port-Miou, Port-Pin & En-Vau

1. Calanques Cassis Hike: Port-Miou, Port-Pin & En-Vau

Embark on a 6 km hike departing from Cassis. Cross the creeks of Port-Miou, Port-Pin, and one of the most famous, En-Vau. Discover sensational landscapes as you trek along the crystalline waters that meander like fjords. Start by exploring the 1400m long Calanque of Port-Miou that houses a marina and conceals a rich heritage. Learn about a former site of exploitation of a limestone quarry and an underground river. Along the coast, continue until you reach the cove of Port-Pin, marking the entrance to Marseille. Discover a winding cove home to a pretty pebble cove with turquoise waters which you can, if you wish, taste the freshness of its waters during a break. Start to gain a little altitude, which will gradually take you up to 90m above sea level, to the En-Vau belvedere, revealing its beach in reverse, low and buried between the high cliffs.

Chateauneuf du Pape: Private Guided Walking Tour

4. Chateauneuf du Pape: Private Guided Walking Tour

Enjoy a pick-up from your hotel in Avignon or surrounding area (within 25 kilometers of Avignon) by private vehicle and head to the village of Châteauneuf du Pape, which is by far the most prestigious wine-making village in the Rhône Valley. From the ruins of the medieval castle that crowns the village you can enjoy excellent views of the surrounding mountains, of the Rhône river, and the sea of vines covering the hills. Leave the village by foot, walking on the farming tracks between the celebrated vines of Grenache and Syrah, leading through rolling terrain, from one estate to another. Along the way learn all about the centuries-old history of wine-making in the region, and stop for a wine-tasting. Also enjoy a picnic in the vines (picnic/lunch not included). After the walk is complete you will return back to your hotel in Avignon. The walk is about 7 kilometers long, with about 2 hours total of walking time, on somewhat rocky tracks. Pick-up is at 9 AM directly at your hotel by your guide in Avignon. The pick-up time can be adjusted if necessary. You will need walking shoes (hiking boots aren't necessary), sun protection (hat, sun cream: there's no shade), a bottle of water, a small backpack (30 liters is a good size) and a picnic lunch. There are no restaurants/shops along the walking paths, so you will need to prepare a picnic beforehand. You will return to Avignon around 5 PM.

La Ciotat: 3-Hour Trou Souffleur Rock Climbing Adventure

5. La Ciotat: 3-Hour Trou Souffleur Rock Climbing Adventure

Enjoy an adventure to one of France's most beautiful cliff faces, Trou du Souffleur. Discover the rugged beauty of the French coastline as you follow an adventure course designed to allow you to experience a side of La Ciotat that most tourists don't get to see. Rappel and climb along the cliff ledge before getting your adrenaline pumping with a thrilling zipline course over the crashing waves below. This activity is perfect for beginners and experienced climbers alike.

Les Baux: Private Guided Walking Tour from Avignon

6. Les Baux: Private Guided Walking Tour from Avignon

Start your tour with a pick-up from your hotel in Avignon or surrounding area and then head to the windswept Alpilles mountains. Far from the tourist crowds, your expert guide will lead you on an easy walk along the thyme-laden crests, on one of the most spectacular paths in Provence. With aerial views of the famed olive groves and even the Mediterranean Sea to the south, the rocky paths wind through shrub vegetation and pass lone cypress trees: just as Van Gogh painted them during his stay in these mountains. We visit a secret 3000 year-old fort before reaching the medieval village of Les Baux de Provence, set high above the valley. Enjoy some free time to meander through the cobbled streets and enjoy a relaxing lunch before completing the walk. After the walk, visit a local olive mill for a tasting and to learn about local olive oil production. Set just beside the village of Les Baux is a former limestone quarry, converted into a stunning light and picture show: Carrières de Lumières. This activity takes just under an hour and is not included in the price. However, you can choose to visit this if you wish at additional cost. The walk is 7 kilometers long in total, and you can expect up to three hours of walking time along the trails. The paths are easy to walk on, but rocky: you can choose to wear walking boots but running shoes are sufficient if you're used to walking on uneven surfaces.  Pick-up is at 9 AM directly at your hotel by your guide in Avignon, or in the surrounding area (within a radius of 25 kilometers from Avignon). The pick-up time can be adjusted, if necessary. A return transfer is included to your hotel in Avignon, arriving at around 5 PM.

I joined the Marseille tour this morning with Olivier. He was awesome! He showed us lots of very varied and charming neighborhoods, and not very touristy. It really gave an idea of the character of the city, and how it has developed over the years. Olivier was also very knowledgeable. It was a very good morning, thank you! Clara

This supervised visit allows you to let go and enjoy 200,000% of the ride, neither too long nor too short. We visit 3 superb creeks with explanations and moments of silence that allow us to feel all the positive energy that this place brings us. To do to share with family in love with friends..
