The first stop of this day trip is Salamis Archaeological Site, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea from Cyprus's east coast. Salamis was the most brilliant ancient city in Cyprus and the capital of the island for more than a thousand years. The archaeological site of Salamis, culture, and history is considered one of the most important not just in Cyprus but also in the Mediterranean Sea. Discover the archaeological site of Salamis as your guide shares with you the rise and fall of this Great Greek Kingdom. Then visit the St Barnabas church and tomb. This day tour continues with lunch and a short walk at Constantia Beach. In the afternoon you will visit the Latin Cathedral of St Nicholas and Othello Tower (no visit inside). Agia Napa: Sea Caves Guided Kayaking

6. Agia Napa: Sea Caves Guided Kayaking

If we have time and explorers want to we can also kayak to Cape Greko Sea Caves and back (3.5 / 2 mi). Limnara beach is the start of the kayaking trip and the basic route goes west until Glyky Nero beach (and then back to Limnara beach). The coastline is rocky, with many formations, interrupted by two natural sandy beaches (one is too narrow and shallow to go into on a kayak) and one man-made. The big highlights of the trip are the collection of Sea Caves just east of the beaches of Pantahou and Glyky Nero in Agia Napa. There are more than five sea caves, but most are either very narrow to enter or their height above sea level is limited. Usually we enter two of them. The experience is superb. We enter teh first cave from one entrance and leave from the other. The second cave that we enter has only a single (wider) entrance and the colours there are very beautiful, especially as it has a white sand bottom throughout and light blue water colours. Lovers' Bridge natural rocky arch is another big highlight of the trip. The arch is quite wide for a few kayaks to go under at the same The kayaking trip ends back at Limnara beach.

It was wonderful. We were there last year and booked it twice. The first time the water was unfortunately very turbulent. But the second time it was just us and Marina. It was the best experience we have ever had and we will definitely be back this year. Marina put in an incredible amount of effort and she radiated an incredible amount of serenity and calm. I hope we see and again.

Highly recommend this day trip! The communication from the tour company, our guide Theodora and the selection of local food and wine stops were all excellent. I would do this again in one of the other regions on the island on my next visit.

The pickup including the transport to Salamis and Famagusta was great. Great, friendly tour guide who provides information about the place, country and people. Would I book again!

Great trip to spend a day away from the coast without renting a car. Good wine and great food. Beautiful mountain villages - worth seeing.

Thanks to Theodora, our lovely guide. It couldn’t have been better!
