Vienna: Danube Rhapsody Segway Tour

1. Vienna: Danube Rhapsody Segway Tour

Begin by learning how to navigate safely on your Segway, before heading out of the city center on bike paths to the Danube Canal. There you can see Vienna from a different side, an aspect of the city that not everyone experiences. After crossing the canal, ride into the big Prater Park to discover some more territory that most visitors to Vienna don't see. Glide past the Vienna Economics University, before eventually reaching the River Danube. Johann Strauss’ most famous waltz “The Blue Danube” is dedicated to the beauty of this river, and whilst there you can decide for yourself if the river is actually blue, or if Strauss may have needed his vision checked. Following that, continue along the river to a special vantage point which is one of the best views in Vienna. It presents the Danube cutting through the hills of the Vienna Woods. To complete this unique experience, pass the apartment where Johann Strauss composed “The Blue Danube.”

Imperial Vienna: Full-Day Tour from Budapest

2. Imperial Vienna: Full-Day Tour from Budapest

Travel to the Austrian capital on a full-day tour from Budapest. Vienna is just a 2 to 2.5-hour drive by motorway. When you arrive in Vienna you’ll drive along the famous Ringstrasse, Vienna's main boulevard, to get an overview of the city and a look at many of its important sights. See the State Opera House, the Museums of Fine Arts and Natural History, the Parliament, the Burgtheater, the City Hall, and the Votive Church. Your guide will take you on a short walk to see the most beautiful parts of the city center. You’ll visit the Museum Quarter and the Hofburg, which was the winter residence of the Habsburgs. Walk along Kärtner Strasse, Vienna’s main shopping street, and see St. Stephen's Cathedral. After the tour you’ll have time for shopping in the elegant pedestrian area. Alternatively, there is the opportunity to visit Schönbrunn Palace or any of the other museums, or to head to the Prater, Vienna’s well-known amusement park. On the way back to Budapest you’ll stop at Hundertwasser House, which is a journey into the world of creative architecture.

Brilliant! We ended up having a private tour as there was just my husband and me booked. The guide, Horst, was brilliant and very knowledgeable. He made sure we were comfortable on the Segways before we set off. We saw more of the sights in Vienna than we were expecting, and less of the Danube, but we were happy with that. Using the Segway was more physical than we expected but lots of fun. We would definitely recommend it.

We were lucky and were our own group and about 6 with our guide Max. He felt all of our needs, was very communicative, and got to know quite a few things about Vienna that we didn't know. Very flexible to us!!

Your was great and so was our guide! We enjoyed the tour even though the weather was uncooperative and rainy. They gave us thick rain ponchos which worked very well. Still enjoyed the tour immensely!

Cheers to Horst. It was such a great and entertaining tour with him. He always has a snappy comment on his lips and made us laugh a lot. 5x means 5 stars. Cora & Uli from Brandenburg in Germany.

We were a group of 7 people and our guide Horst took us safely and entertainingly through Vienna The tour was great fun Big recommendation Michael
