I chose this particular tour because it was a 6 hour tour - not sure how a 4 hour tour could have been as informative or paced as well. Johannes, our guide picked us up from our hotel and we enjoyed a private guided tour of Potsdam and its history. Johannes' research and accompanying material brought the past into the present. Lovely stop for lunch - beer hall - great atmosphere smelling the mash cooking. Good food, good company, good sights - can't ask for more.

What people are saying about Potsdam
a great way to get out of the city
This was a great way of getting out of Berlin city center to see the somewhat less accessible sights of Berlin. Johannes was very knowledgeable about the sights and history of the area and monarchy and was able to explain history (he also had a book full of historical pictures to show!). He was also happy to adapt the tour to suit our preferences of what we wanted to get out of it and was very accommodating.
This day tour can only be recommended to everyone. You are shown a lot and there is also a lot of information about it. A big thank you to Mr. Westerkamp who gave us a very nice trip. We would make such a booking again and again.
We had a wonderful day with Johannes who picked us up from our hotel, as arranged, and drove us to Potsdam. He took us to all the major sites, sharing his formidable knowledge along the way. He was punctual, helpful & humorous.
Fantastic tour and very knowledgeable guide. Johannes customized the tour to our interests and had an amazing depth of knowledge on Potsdam and the surrounding area. Highly recommend taking this tour!
