Be transported to the Porto of old with a trip to Casa do Fado, a project developed by friends who love the music genre. Choose between two Casa do Fado venues in the historic center of Porto: the Ribiera, a 19th-century cellar, or the Sé, a former guitar luthier workshop.

    Listen to outstanding musicians as they perform live in a venue with acoustics ideally set up for fado. Sip on a glass of port wine, the drink that Porto is famous for, as you hear more about the music and its origins.

    Very good show with really decent singer. A bit more explanation for each song would have made a better experience, as all sung in Portuguese. Nice glass of port to start, but they didn’t offer any more drinks to buy , which would have been desirable.

    The Fado was a memorable experience. One of the my favorite parts of visiting Porto. The singer and musicians were so wonderful. I felt a connection to the music. It was an intimate experience. Highly recommend. I like that the singer and host explained what a fado is and the themes of the songs.

    What a fantastic show! The location was great, a small intimate underground place with great ambiance. The owner Miguel and his son, greet you and serve you then grab their instruments and perform the most beautiful Fado music! The singer that joins them is just as fabulous. Highly recommend this show.
