After being cancelled last minute for an experience with another company called "Eat With" where we had dinner and fado music scheduled months in advnace, we hastily booked this fado + Port wine experience. It was well located, right near the bridge. The setting was small and intimate. The duration, including an intermission with a glass of port wine, was perfect. There were two different female fado singers who performed along with three men who played three different guitars. The price was an excellent value and we were really glad we were able to get into this venue and experience some fado.

I enjoyed the show a lot! Fado was a woman singing with one musician on a Portuguese guitar and another on a classic guitar. Had a short intermission to pass out port wine - was quite sweet. I don't drink wine but liked the taste of the sip I took. Location is fantastic, right outside the church and the Dom Luis I bridge, which is super convenient and great for seeing the sunset right after the show. Booking online was slightly cheaper than getting a ticket at the door.

Although it’s not that easy to get to Casa da Guitarra if you’re down by the Ribeira, it’s definitely worth it. The place is so authentic, has such a special ambiance, and the musicians deliver such a wonderful interpretation, that you really feel that you’ve had a true Porto experience.
