This was a fantastic experience. It's a small group of 8 people in total and you ride in a minibus to Douro Valley from the center of Porto. We went to 3 locations to try wine (once at the locations you are with other groups as well). The first two were port vineyards and the last was a 100% organic winery. It included an extensive lunch with more wine and dessert (you definitely won't be short on wine on this one). The views of Douro Valley were amazing and the weather was thankfully fantastic for us. Really interesting to learn about the different processes of making port and the ways to distinguish them from each other. I would definitely recommend this tour in particular to others. Our tour guide was also very kind and chatty, keeping the bus rides entertaining and educational. We learned a lot about the microclimates of Douro Valley, the different big names in port and general life in the region. I would consider doing this tour again.

Our guide Juaou (not sure I have spelling right) was excellent. The ambassadors at each winery we informative, kind, and funny (I’m not sure people know, the Portuguese have a great sense of humor.). I’m not a big tour person, I tend to steal clear of “tourist” traps but this wasn’t one. As a group we were free to modify our trip (maybe we weren’t but it felt like we were, and that counts to me). The winery choices were varied and excellent. If you are a curious person who wants to learn from the wine experts this is for you. And if not, this can be for you too. They will adapt.

The tour was 10/10! Thank you André for making the trip even more fun and driving us safely! We had a fun group of 6 people, visited 3 wineries and tasted 11 different wines. The food at the lunch place was delicious. I can definitely recommend this tour!
