Arriving in Porto earlier in the afternoon, we thought that the tour would be a good way to explore some of the city as well as to sample the local food and drink. We were not disappointed. Our guide, Thiago, was charming and with only my partner and me in the 'group', we were able to ask him lots of questions covering a variety of topics (from the history of the city to the politics in Brazil, and of, course the best beer, wine and port to sample), all of which were answered informatively and with humour. By the time the tour had finished, we were both full up with some tasty food and drink so it was good to be able to walk it all off on our way back to our hotel. My main recommendation would be...don't eat anything beforehand so that you have room to enjoy the fabulous petiscos and the local bebidas!

Hugo our guide picked us up at the time indicated and was very friendly and informative. He took the trouble to go round and chat to everybody in our group. The vineyards we visited were in lovely settings and the meal was well cooked (even a veggie option!). We tried lots of wines, port, olive oil and even honey and felt that this trip was very good value for money. The only downside is not the company’s fault at all, but if you suffer from motion sickness you will find the travelling difficult since the rural roads are very winding!

Excellent!! Our guide Ricardo was very knowledgeable about the history of Porto and Portugal. He mixed humor with facts and it was obvious that he enjoys his work. Small group of 2 which made the experience that much better. Walking was at an easy pace. Porto is hilly and the walking surfaces are uneven so this activity may not be suited for all. LOTS of great food and wine that I thought was a good sample of the cuisine. I would definitely recommend this activity.

Diana was a wonderful tour guide! We really enjoyed all the food, and found we had just enough time at each venue. The drinks provided in each venue also complemented each dish well, and the port tasting at the end was the perfect way to end things. The walking isnt too intense so although we booked it as a young couple it would be suitable for families or older people too.

Excellent, including the guide, Hugo, that follows us for all the trip explaining all the Douro aspects from port wine making techniques to the bottled wine. We could not expect more cordiality. The winery's are awesome: Roeda, Santa Julia and Castelares and the lunch at Santa Julia Winery was soberb. You must taste the 20 and 30 years old tawny
