Leave the hustle and bustle of Porto for the day for a trip to Guimarães, classified by UNESCO as Cultural Heritage of Humanity site for its historic significance as the place where Portugal was born. Upon arrival in Guimarães you will have some free time to explore the city center and enjoy lunch in a typical restaurant. Continue to the Dukes of Bragança Palace, known as a Potuguese National Monument for its fabulous façade and wonderful interior. You will also go to Guimarães Castle, where you can climb the tower for panoramic views of the city. Excellent trip!

On this excursion we learned a lot about the real origin and history of Portugal. Visiting the cake bakery was a unique experience! The driver and tour guide looked after us so lovingly that it was touching. We were impressed by the sights: great buildings and churches, well-kept parks and grounds!

We could not take the tour for a sudden illness but in some ways our guide was very attentive to take us to a service station and then back to our hostel ..

Fantastic!

This was a wonderful experience. Our driver/guide Daniel was knowledgeable, polite, fun, and he made sure that everyone in the group felt good by answering all our questions and giving us a very informative and excellent tour. I would recommend anytime!
