a cruise to do absolutely, rich breakfast and lunch, passage of 3 locks, the banks of the douro, don't forget your caps! it is a pity that the speaker did not work, we did not take full advantage of the explanations. the departure was from the platform and on the return the bus dropped us at the station, we had not been warned, take a taxi to go / return

We enjoyed the river trip. The boat was not full, which was good as had it been full it might have felt a bit overcrowded. As it was, we started in heavy rain and ended with some good sunshine and sat on the roof for much of the latter part of the journey. However the visit to the vineyard was very short (I think we arrived late). We had one sample of port - a pink one - which was very nice and interesting as something new but not typical. So it would have been good to have the chance to taste other port too. We did buy an extra glass (4 euros) but didn't really have time to drink it. A long day, we were back in Porto well after 9pm.

Beautiful landscapes to discover, but travel too long!

The trip is interesting in itself to discover the landscapes of the Douro valley, but very long: more than 9 hours to navigate. The delay at the locks (3) and from the start prevented us from visiting the wine estate, just a tasting of Porto, purchase and nothing more because we had to return by bus to Porto, return scheduled at 8:30 p.m. but in reality arrival at 9:30 p.m. ... 2h by coach. We spend the day on the boat! if heat, provide sunscreen, because it is in full sun. The meals taken are correct but not high quality products, however, served in quantity!
