Scala dei Turchi: Private Boat Tour & Aperisushi at Sunset

1. Scala dei Turchi: Private Boat Tour & Aperisushi at Sunset

Starting from the small port of San Leone, you will pass in front of the famous river Akragas, which gave its name to the ancient Greek city of Agrigento. Passed the bay of Kaos of Porto Empedocle, in a few minutes, you will reach Realmonte, where you will be welcomed by the enchanting Scala dei Turchi, with its majestic elegance. Right here, you can take the opportunity to dive into the clear Mediterranean waters and enjoy, in total relaxation, a tasty aperitif of sushi, in front of a beautiful sunset. After this magical moment, you will resume navigation, to return to San Leone, admiring, during the journey, the striking lighthouse of Cape Carosello.

So first of all - it is not a sailing boat but a normal motor boat. It also takes a minute to find it - the meeting point description isn’t that useful. The boat itself is rather new and comfortable but it wouldn’t fit more than 5 adults (plus skipper). We had the trip with a family (2 adults and 2 children) - it was fine as they wanted to be at the front of the boat and we wanted to be under the shade, but if all of us would prefer to be in the shade or in the sun - we probably couldn’t fit. I would recommend this tour if you are a group of 4-5 so that you can enjoy the full boat, because otherwise you have to be lucky to share the boat with nice people :) the tour takes however only 1.5h so you can maybe survive the sun for so long - there is also a break for 35mins next to the Scala dei Turchi so maybe it will be good enough :) The Scala is rather underwhelming from a distance but very beautiful if you swim up closer - much nicer view that from the beach itself :)
