Pinhão: Rabelo Boat 1-Hour Guided Tour

1. Pinhão: Rabelo Boat 1-Hour Guided Tour

It was absolutely amazing getting to spend a day with Rita and Pedro. They are consummate tour guides. Rita picked us up from our lodging in Porto, and they both drove us back. It was very worth the extra fifty euros to have them pick us up and drop us off. The tour itself was really great; we were able to do a lovely hike up to a lookout point, then we ate an amazing and filling lunch, and then we did a smaller hike in the afternoon in a more foresty area. Pedro knows so much about the landscape and history of the park, and he was able to teach my sister and I about it. The park itself is so large and there are not a lot of people around, so it is good to have guidance to be able to navigate the park and make the most of your visit. We were also able to take a dip in the hot springs which was a great way to end the day. Rita and Pedro also are store owners with great products like locally made jams. Overall, it was a great experience!

If you are having second thoughts or reconsidering this trip, don't! Just do it. And if you are lucky, Diogo will be taking you. If not, ask for him. The views were amazing, the trip was adaptable to the energy of the group. Slippery rocks and steep climbs were manageable under the scorching hot weather because our guide, Amazing Diogo made great efforts to assure the safety of everyone and that we were all having a great time. We went off-road to our first location where we kayaked, then we had lunch and trekked to the waterfalls, and lastly, a visit to the village. The only thing... Just wished the time spent at the waterfalls were longer. Everything else was perfect.

One of the best days of my life. Diego, the tour guide, was wonderful. Very well organized, super fun, good food, beautiful waterfall, everything was incredible. Best day of our vacation.

Highly recommend this to anyone visiting Porto! Our guide was fun to be around and hilarious. Loved driving the buggy around. The views in the mountains are stunning.

Lovely cruise in small boat in the Douro valley - perfect length. Captain was ready to anwser our question, great!
