Great voyage of discovery of PORT on the Douro

We arrived at the boat to find our table had been allocated in a good forward position. Our waiter was very friendly and looked after us well. There was a lot of back ground noise so the overhead loud speaker announcements were difficult if not impossible to understand. The breakfast served was quite basic but lunch was more than enough. The trip was through beautiful scenery and was very interesting. We left the boat at Pinhao where we caught the tourist train back to Porto arriving at about 21.00hrs. Quite a long day, but worth it.

The crew/service were friendly and very helpful. Please note that if your trip is facilitated by Barcadouro ( board in Gaia) then there is a boat change at Peso da Regua, no free time in Pinhao but a visit to a local Winery. Also the return is by bus which was quick and comfortable.

Nice experience

The bike tour was very relaxing and you could see a lot. You could always drive along the river to get to the beach. Better wear headgear in hot weather. The surf session was great too. There was a good briefing and then we could try surfing for about 1 hour or with the help.

This trip was worth it!

We were impressed with the food, the wait staff, and overall experience. Would definitely recommend this to friends and families. We wished that the boat's sound system worked better - it was hard to hear the speakers due to where we sat.

Beautiful day cruise, good food and great service. But it is a long day excursion.
