    This was yet another wonderful experience. Since we requested an English speaking tour we ended up having our own private guide with Sofia who was just so pleasant and very knowledgeable of the Alfama zone and Lisbon. The stops along the way to taste Ginginha and Beirao along with their Pastel de Nata was delightful. Beautiful to see the architecture and landmarks still in existence. Be prepared to do a lot of walking. I highly recommend this tour.

    Our afternoon tour in Bairro Alto afforded us an opportunity for yet another private tour in English with the same guide Sofia from a previous tour. She was very knowledgeable of Bairro Alto. The stops along the way to the oldest library in Lisbon and many shopping areas. Beautiful to see the architecture and landmarks like the Hotel Avenida; first hotel in Lisbon still in existence. We walked to the famous elevator that takes you to the top for gorgeous views of Lisbon. Again, be prepared to do a lot of walking. I highly recommend this tour.

Carla, our tour guide, was amazing. She knew a lot about Lisbon, she added her own stories of growing up in the city and how the city changed over time. We had a nice stop and tasted a delicious Pastel de Nata. I would recommend this tour to get an initial understanding and history of the city.
