Full description
Offering an out of this world experience that can be shared with the whole family, Irukandji is your next adventure waiting to happen. The best part about this adventure whether you are on dry land or in a shark encounter is the incredible individual personalities of the marine creatures you will meet. Many of them can't wait for their human 'friends' to arrive, you can tell they are genuinely happy to hang out with you. Along the way, visit the smaller fish, including juvenile Port Jackson sharks, tropical fish, seahorses and eels, all located in the Bamboo Shallows Exhibit. Next in Fiddler Flats, the fiddler rays have huge personality and get excited when you offer them food. Ray Lagoon is home to larger species including eagle rays, zebra sharks and the leopard whiprays and you will be in your element feeding your newfound friends. Your experienced guide will provide an educational talk on the beautiful smooth stingrays that can grow over 300 kilograms.Glimpse a close look at a stingray mouth and witness the grace and warmth in their personality. Finally, meet the big fish when you stop by the Tawny Terrain. Sometimes referred to as the koalas of the ocean, tawny nurse sharks can measure about 10 feet (3 meters) long and spend a lot of time sleeping. When your tour comes to an end, you can remain as long as you like for another look at your favorite creatures or even choose a Shark Encounter Tour (surcharge applies). Choose to don either the wader pants - which will keep you completely dry - or a wetsuit with water shoes, entering the water for a Shark Encounter Tour (all pools are heated to a comfortable 76°F or 24.5°C). This amazing expereice is not to be missed.

Great educational place to raise awareness about Sharks and rays. The lady at the reception wasn’t the friendliest and it felt like she is forced to be there. As for the staff, they where brilliant, friendly and helpful An additional pool or enclosure would be great.
