Full description
Addo Elephant Park is the third-largest national park in South Africa, offering expansive grounds, lush vegetation, and unsurpassed views of the continent’s most iconic wildlife. Begin your tour with pickup from the cruise terminal and board an air-conditioned vehicle and enjoy a 35-minute scenic drive through the South African countryside. Upon arrival at the park, and after check-in, begin your game drive. Spot animals such as the Big 5, zebras, warthogs, and antelopes. Your local guide will stop the vehicle when animals are spotted. During the drive, stop to stretch your legs at a lookout point where you can enjoy spectacular views of the park while sipping a refreshing drink and snack. You’ll travel in a closed vehicle, making your way through the park from south to north, trekking along gravel and sand paths as well as tarred roads in search of the best viewing sites. On this guided Addo tour, you’ll get acquainted with the incredible flora and fauna of the reserve and learn more about the area’s biodiversity.  After working up an appetite, we stop off for lunch at the park restaurant with some free time to spend at the souvenir shop to find the perfect gifts, before continuing your safari and heading back south. Thereafter, you'll exit the park to be back in time at the cruise ship.

The pick up and drive to and from the park made the day so much easier. Nina was a fantastic guide, who was so enthusiastic and friendly. She was happy to talk about all the animals and areas of the park, and was full of knowledge. She was also a willing photographer, who made sure everyone was able to see the everything from any angle required. We met up with another group, led by Elvis, for a beautiful lunch in the middle of the park with wine and drinks covered by the tour cost. The afternoon saw us go through the north of the park and the second look out point. We were lucky enough to see all the animals but the lions, and had an amazing experience. Thanks to Nina and Elvis for the great day.

It was a great day! Elvis is a totally nice and dedicated guide who has done everything we can to see as many animals as possible! The food with a view of the elephants had something - unique! Thank you. We were happy to have a closed car - it was very windy and dusty - our photos we took through open windows turned out great. We can fully recommend this tour and Elvis.

We loved the direct pick up from the hotel. The day was absolutely entertaining with our happy and humorous guide Elvis. We saw a lot of animals: zebras, buffalos, kudus, ostriches, a jackal who tampered with the head of a warthog he stole from the lions and of course the tame giants. At noon there was a delicious picnic and in the evening we were driven straight back to the hotel. For us it was an eventful and impressive day!
