Hydra, Poros, and Aegina Full-Day Cruise with Lunch
- Duration: 10 hours
Great day trip! The boat ride was long to Hydra the furthest island and first stop If the day but totally worth the wait! The port/village was gorgeous and we had just enough time to wander around to the other side of the port and find a restaurant on a cliff with the most breathtakingly beautiful view of the other islands and beautiful blue waters, then had a swim off the rocks into the crystal blue warm waters before heading back to the ship. Next stop Poros was a very short stop but a great view coming into port. Had enough time to grab a few souvenirs, the kids a gelato from the great shop near where you get off and then we decided to sit in one of the restaurants and enjoy a local beer or two in the sunshine before heading back. Last stop was Aegina the largest of the islands. We choose to do the extra circular activity and caught a small boat over to Moni island and swim/drink in the beautiful blue waters which was amazing! Downside was cramped on boat But food was good.
Very easy to book but VERY minimal information on the process. The directions on where to go and even the name of the boat were completely wrong on the ticket! We were told to arrive at the port by the Anna Maru boat before 7.30. Got there at 7am where another couple were waiting. It wasnt until 7.25 we finally saw some one on the boat and waved them over. He spoke no english, nor did another person we found. Luckily we were told by a passer by we had to be on THE OTHERSIDE of the marina! Ran over. Got taken on the correct boat (The Cosmos) The lovely boat and beautiful islands make up for it. It is a long day- take a book or ipad for the journey back. left at 8am get back at 7.30 close to main city and cheap in a UBER. Definitely better off ordering a uber/ other car app service on the way home. The taxi drivers at the port quite intrusive.
it is a good way to see the 3 island's in one day if you don't have a lot of time. however, the tune didn't on each island is super short. the evermore ship is new and very nice quality, lunch included was surprisingly decent. everything on the menu on the bist is expensive, so worth taking snacks and drinks to consume during the day. The walking tour in Hydra is a complete trap, don't waste your time and money, use it to walk around this beautiful island. overall it was ok.
The Islands are really gorgeous--particularly Hydra. The time was adequate for a quick trip up to the tower in Poros and a few photos on the way down. In Aegina we did not opt for the bus tour, and there is really not much else to do, which is a pity. We took a quick swim. The boat was pleasant, though rather crowded. Lunch was okay.
It was an excellent experience. The cruise is little old and the full with people. I think it's over the available places. Another bad thing is that you will be charged of everything you buy on the ship even the water. Only the lunch is included.
