The Wonderful North e-bike tour will explore an enchanting part of the North of Madeira! It will explore the quiet roads crossing the cultivated fields and the rainforest, also we can enjoy the magnificent view points over the coast and over the mountains! The tour starts in the small village of Boaventura, from where we climb to the first stop where we have a view over the village and over the coast line! Then we continue along the road that crosses the Laurel forest, discovering the small houses and fields of vegetables, vineyards and some exotic fruits! After crossing a small tunnel, we descend to Arco de São Jorge already in the Santana region, where we are welcomed by another fantastic rural atmosphere. We then head to the Miradouro da Beira da Quinta from where we have a spectacular over the village of Arco the São Jorge and all the northwest coast until Porto Moniz. We then cross a part of the village where we can see the farmers growing the fruits and vegetables as well as their own typical houses with its flowered gardens. Next stop will be a view point near by the sea to enjoy the see breeze, magnificent coastal view and the waves of the Atlantic. If the clients want there is a possible coffee stop, and after that we star the return to Boaventura. Reaching the centre of the village we enter the old road where we have our last view point over the picturesque town of Ponta Delgada! We go back to the mini-bus for the transport back to the Hotel.

The banana from Madeira is a subspecies of the original banana and grown extensively on the island of Madeira, traditionally smaller than the South American banana but accentuated on the palate. It is supplemented with sucrose, glucose, fructose, fibers, potassium, magnesium and various vitamins from clusters A, B and vitamin C. We will visit a local Banana Farm area in funchal city where you can understand a little bit more how this famous fruit grows in the Island. We will also have a look at the Viewpoint of RG3, an unknow viewpoint many people don’t know where we can see the whole funchal around us.

faja dos padres is a hidden gem on south of madeira island. it is a small piece land at the foot of a towering cliff, acessible only by cable car. It offers a unique refuge for those who seek tranquility, nature and gastronomy. Today, visitors can enjoy the organic farming, the pebble beach, the cozy cottages and the beachfront restaurant that serves delicious Madeiran cuisine. A small paradise of lush greenery and exotic fruits nestled at the foot of a towering cliff. We will walk around the crops and see the tropical fruits.

Depart Funchal and head for the north coast of Madeira to get unprecedented views of the ocean and island from different perspectives. Follow the eastern coast to Porto da Cruz, and then drive through Faial before stopping in the unique village of Cabanas de São Jorge. Marvel at the views of the sea and surrounding mountains, and see vineyards that show off some of Madeira’s most spectacular scenery. Continue to the picturesque village of Ponta Delgada for lunch. Then, head further west along the wild coastline to arrive in São Vicente in a beautiful valley. Then, return through stunning valleys and ravines carved into the island over millions of years. Pass the beautiful zone of Ribeira Brava before heading back to your hotel with lasting memories.

Head out from Funchal on a full-day tour of Madeira’s north-east. Leaving the town behind, stop in São Vicente, and take in amazing 360-degree views. Marvel at the contrast of colors from the vineyards. Enjoy a drive along serpentine roads and through forests. Discover the unique scenery of the area from an open-top 4X4 vehicle. Before lunch, visit a water mill and see the traditional thatched houses of Santana. Stop to enjoy lunch in idyllic surroundings, and later visit a sugar cane and rum factory, where you can taste the local rum. Finish your tour in Caniçal, where you’ll have spectacular views of Ponta São Lourenço – the eastern part of the island.

We leave from Funchal to the village of Santa Cruz for a short stop. Then, we start the trip to Porto da Cruz, where we visit the Sugarcane Mill where there is the possibility to taste the famous and typical regional drink “Poncha”, made with sugarcane brandy. We continue until we reach Santana, along dirt roads and winding through the green of the Laurissilva that will take us to the parish of Ilha and S. Jorge where we can appreciate the natural beauty, passing by the viewpoint of Boca das Voltas with a magnificent view. From here we head towards Arco de S. Jorge, already by the sea, for lunch. After this break, we continue along the north coast, passing through Boaventura, Ponta Delgada and São Vicente, where we will stop at Quinta do Barbusano, to visit the property and taste the wines produced there. In the wine tasting you can taste red, white and rosé wines. In the late afternoon we return to Funchal.

The Madeira Theme Park, located in the city of Santana, is a fantastic exhibition center dedicated to the history, science and tradition of the Madeira Islands. It occupies an area of 145,000 m2 and should not be missed by visitors; it is the only one of its kind in Portugal. The Park's main attractions are the four multimedia pavilions; "Discovery of the Islands", "Future of the Earth", "Fantastic Voyage in Madeira" and "A World of Islands, The Islands of the World". A replica of the Monte train, traditional oxcarts and nets, a traditional Santana. The visit to the garden area is open to all, an open space area disclosing some specimens of the island indigenous flora, and footpaths, which are also among some interesting features of this cultural and scientific attraction.

After being collected from your accommodation, you will begin exploring the awe-inspiring landscapes along the rugged north coast of Madeira. You will discover exotic wilderness, dotted with quaint villages which are dwarfed by towering sea cliffs and surrounded by vineyards and orchards. From São Vicente you will move on to Santana, where you will discover its charismatic thatched-roof houses. Following this, you will advance towards Queimadas Park. You will also visit Funchal, Ponta Delgada, São Jorge, Santana, and Faial throughout your experience, and at the conclusion of your tour you will be returned back to your point of origin.

In this tour, I'll demonstrate how exquisite the Northwest side of our sweet island is. Going through our local villages, old roads and narrating about old times, you will have a perspective of how our people used to and still live to this day with their culture and traditions. In this journey you will also notice our Centenary trees in Fanal, having stories and memories that no man can tell, where the colour green is always with you. Waterfalls will be something that you see very often along the roads from Porto Moniz to São Vicente, beautiful and natural sights of water falling down throughout the rocks and cliffs. Agua D'alto is one of many waterfalls in the area, where we will make a brief stop to contemplate its simplicity and natural beauty as well as to see the astounding view of São Vicente and Ponta Delgada. In general this will be a tour with a lot of interesting, diverse and unique environments and landscapes. -We will start by leaving Funchal heading to Câmara de Lobos, a beautiful fishing village. -Going through Câmara de Lobos, Cabo Girão will be the next stop. -Continuing this trip, we will also visit Ponta do Sol (Canhas), where we will start our ascent into the mountains, more specifically the vast Paúl da Serra (Plateau), plus Faial will also be on the way to the magical forest. -Going down the mountains, getting closer to the sea, Ribeira da Janela is going to be the next stop, with an incredible viewpoint. -Then we will proceed to visit Porto Moniz, one of the highlights of the trip, where you will have the opportunity to swim in its famous natural pools. -At this point of the trip we will start our return by passing through Seixal, and São Vicente will be the last stop. -Despite this being the last stop, Rosário, Serra de Água, Campanário and Quinta Grande will be some other places we will go through as we head to Funchal, hence concluding this enchanting experience that you will definitely never forget.

And now you are here completely amazed, walk among the old crooked trees completely enchanted by the fairytale landscape. 4 - After this stop we head towards Porto Moniz where you can see the natural pools, formed by volcanic lava where you being able to bathe if the weather is inviting. 5 - From here we head east towards Ribeira da Janela where you will met the most extensive and abundant water course formed in the interior of the island, in the middle of the mountains and flowing into the ocean. 6 - Heading towards Seixal the most beautiful beach on the Madeira island, a beach flanked by mountains covered with majestic tropical forest, reminiscent of the most beautiful corners of the Asian paradise islands. 7 - By now you should be hungry and we will stop for lunch to try some of the regional food. The restaurant will be chosen from numerous options according to your gastronomic preferences. 8 - Keeping the East course, you will enjoy the road between the sea and the mountain covered by the "Laurisilva" tropical forest, in an authentic "Jurassic Park" scenario. At this stage of the journey you will stop at some of the most beautiful viewpoints on the north coast. 8 - We follow our experience passing by the ruins of São Jorge. 9 - Vila de Santana where you can see the architecture of the original houses in the north of the Island. 10 - Heading to the village of Porto da Cruz where you can drink the best Poncha Madeira's original drink. 11 - From where we left towards to the viewpoint of Pico do Facho already on the south side, here you can get an impressive view of the Ponta de são Lourenço, over the Machico Village, and the international airport of Madeira, being one of the most spectacular and impressive viewpoints on the south coast. 12 - Your adventure ends here, and now it's time to relax until your final destination where you will be dropped off at your hotel; cruise ship terminal, or any other place of your choice.
