The activity combines a route through dirt tracks with the sense of freedom possible in bike rides and, also, with the adorable laziness of a kayak experience in the lagoon. From the transcendent heights we will descend towards the small town with its gracious peninsula spread along the water and, then, will set to explore the fantastic scenery that surrounds it. Head out from Funchal on a full-day tour of Madeira’s north-east. Leaving the town behind, stop in São Vicente, and take in amazing 360-degree views. Marvel at the contrast of colors from the vineyards. Enjoy a drive along serpentine roads and through forests. Discover the unique scenery of the area from an open-top 4X4 vehicle. Before lunch, visit a water mill and see the traditional thatched houses of Santana. Stop to enjoy lunch in idyllic surroundings, and later visit a sugar cane and rum factory, where you can taste the local rum. Finish your tour in Caniçal, where you’ll have spectacular views of Ponta São Lourenço – the eastern part of the island.

The banana from Madeira is a subspecies of the original banana and grown extensively on the island of Madeira, traditionally smaller than the South American banana but accentuated on the palate. It is supplemented with sucrose, glucose, fructose, fibers, potassium, magnesium and various vitamins from clusters A, B and vitamin C. We will visit a local Banana Farm area in funchal city where you can understand a little bit more how this famous fruit grows in the Island. We will also have a look at the Viewpoint of RG3, an unknow viewpoint many people don’t know where we can see the whole funchal around us.

We leave from Funchal to the village of Santa Cruz for a short stop. Then, we start the trip to Porto da Cruz, where we visit the Sugarcane Mill where there is the possibility to taste the famous and typical regional drink “Poncha”, made with sugarcane brandy. We continue until we reach Santana, along dirt roads and winding through the green of the Laurissilva that will take us to the parish of Ilha and S. Jorge where we can appreciate the natural beauty, passing by the viewpoint of Boca das Voltas with a magnificent view. From here we head towards Arco de S. Jorge, already by the sea, for lunch. After this break, we continue along the north coast, passing through Boaventura, Ponta Delgada and São Vicente, where we will stop at Quinta do Barbusano, to visit the property and taste the wines produced there. In the wine tasting you can taste red, white and rosé wines. In the late afternoon we return to Funchal.

And now you are here completely amazed, walk among the old crooked trees completely enchanted by the fairytale landscape. 4 - After this stop we head towards Porto Moniz where you can see the natural pools, formed by volcanic lava where you being able to bathe if the weather is inviting. 5 - From here we head east towards Ribeira da Janela where you will met the most extensive and abundant water course formed in the interior of the island, in the middle of the mountains and flowing into the ocean. 6 - Heading towards Seixal the most beautiful beach on the Madeira island, a beach flanked by mountains covered with majestic tropical forest, reminiscent of the most beautiful corners of the Asian paradise islands. 7 - By now you should be hungry and we will stop for lunch to try some of the regional food. The restaurant will be chosen from numerous options according to your gastronomic preferences. 8 - Keeping the East course, you will enjoy the road between the sea and the mountain covered by the "Laurisilva" tropical forest, in an authentic "Jurassic Park" scenario. At this stage of the journey you will stop at some of the most beautiful viewpoints on the north coast. 8 - We follow our experience passing by the ruins of São Jorge. 9 - Vila de Santana where you can see the architecture of the original houses in the north of the Island. 10 - Heading to the village of Porto da Cruz where you can drink the best Poncha Madeira's original drink. 11 - From where we left towards to the viewpoint of Pico do Facho already on the south side, here you can get an impressive view of the Ponta de são Lourenço, over the Machico Village, and the international airport of Madeira, being one of the most spectacular and impressive viewpoints on the south coast. 12 - Your adventure ends here, and now it's time to relax until your final destination where you will be dropped off at your hotel; cruise ship terminal, or any other place of your choice.

The Madeira Theme Park, located in the city of Santana, is a fantastic exhibition center dedicated to the history, science and tradition of the Madeira Islands. It occupies an area of 145,000 m2 and should not be missed by visitors; it is the only one of its kind in Portugal. The Park's main attractions are the four multimedia pavilions; "Discovery of the Islands", "Future of the Earth", "Fantastic Voyage in Madeira" and "A World of Islands, The Islands of the World". A replica of the Monte train, traditional oxcarts and nets, a traditional Santana. The visit to the garden area is open to all, an open space area disclosing some specimens of the island indigenous flora, and footpaths, which are also among some interesting features of this cultural and scientific attraction.

We continue our journey to the Ruins of São Jorge, vestiges of the first constructions made at the beginning of the settlement. Next stop is Vila do Porto da Cruz where you can visit our sugar cane mill. Then we end our tour with a last, but no less interesting stop in the city of Machico, one of the most historic on the island.
