Full description

Discover the remains of the ancient city of Pompeii on this guided walking tour of the vast archaeological site. You’ll visit important areas of the buried city, including the forum and temples. See the body casts, learn about life 2000 years ago, and more.

The tour will start from the entrance of Porta Marina Superiore, one of the ancient entrances to the city. The first stop will be at the area of the forum where the ancient Pompeians carried out all public activities. You’ll see temples, houses, and public areas such as the indoor market.

Next is the main street of the city, via dell'Abbondanza, where the tour will continue, to arrive at the public baths, the brothel and some of the most famous houses, such as Casa del Menandro. Visit the recently discovered thermopolium – an ancient form of fast food restaurant – and finally, arrive at the theater area.

Along the way, learn important facts about the eruption of Vesuvius that destroyed the city and the casts of the Pompeian bodies, still visible today.
