At 08:00 your guide will pick you up from your hotel. You will have around 2 hours of the beautiful drive next to the Central Balkan mountain. When we reach Sopot you will meet your paragliding instructor with whom you will make the tandem jump. We will climb up the mountain on a 20-minute picturesque trip with a chairlift. When we get on the top is when the fun begins. You will prepare and check your wing and you will jump from the edge of the cliff. Do not worry, your instructor will be highly experienced and his task is to make your jump amazing. You will admire the views of the Thracian valley and Balkan mountains in the best possible way. During the jump, your instructor will take some photos of your jump so you can have the best possible souvenir from Bulgaria. When you land and take your breath, your journey will continue with a visit to one of the most famous towns in Bulgaria- Koprivshtica. This little town is like a time machine that will transport you back into the 19th century. The place is an architectural reserve and has kept the spirit of those days. Your guide will explain to you about the struggle of the Bulgarians against Ottoman rule and the price that this town paid. You will also have the chance to have delicious traditional lunch. After the walk, you will head back to Sofia.

Your tour starts with pickup from your hotel/accommodation in Sofia at 8:00AM. After an approximate 1.5-hour drive, you will reach Plovdiv. Once there you will visit the highlights, such as the 1st-century Roman Theatre, the 2nd-century Roman Stadium, the oldest mosque on the Balkans, and an old pharmacy. You will then have the chance to take a walk through the Old Town where you can observe the typical Revival Period houses, museums, and narrow cobblestone streets. Scheduled throughout your itinerary are visits to 5 sites, as well as the top of the main hill which provides great views over the whole city. After you finish your exploration of Plovdiv, you will drive south to the Rhodope Mountain. This road is very scenic, and you will soon reach Vucha Dam where you will be picked by a boat before being taken to a place where you can enjoy lunch. While at this scenic location, enjoy a nice walk up to the cliff and a boat trip on the reservoir. At the conclusion of this unforgettable experience, you will head safely back to Sofia.

Explore the largest biosphere reserve in the Rhodope Mountains – the Red Wall. This paradise for orchids was included in UNESCO’s Man and the Biosphere Program back in 1977, due to its rich biodiversity. The centuries-old beech tree forests of the Red Wall host more than 20 species of orchids including the unique “lady’s-slipper”, which can be seen only in this reserve. You'll hike to one of the tallest waterfalls of the Rhodope Mountains, Slivodolsko Padalo (49 meters) where you stop for a refreshing rest under the mist of the falling water before visiting Bachkovo, among the largest Eastern Orthodox monasteries in Europe. The tour ends with a sightseeing tour of Plovdiv, one of the oldest cities in Europe, ranked by Lonely Planet as one of the best cities to visit in 2015. Your guide will pick you up early in the morning from your hotel or address in Sofia or Plovdiv, and within a two-hour journey by private car or minivan you'll be at the starting point of the hike in the Rhodope Mountains. Walk by a picturesque trail upstream Slivov Dol river with its numerous cascades where many orchids can be spotted. Reach Slivodolsko Padalo waterfall (49 meters), among the tallest in the Rhodope Mountains. After a short break you'll walk back to the car, then be transferred to Bachkovo Monastery for a sightseeing tour and lunch. Later, the journey will continue with a short transfer and city tour of Plovdiv, one of the oldest cities in Europe. In the late afternoon you'll head towards Sofia, where your driver will drop you off at your hotel.

Spend an extraordinary day hiking in Rila National Park, as you admire the incredible landscape of glacial lakes and mountain peaks. The Rila Mountains, located within the park, are the highest in Bulgaria and on the Balkan Peninsula. On this full-day outing, you’ll see why the 7 Rila Lakes area is the most popular trekking destination in the Rila Mountains. Drive to the Pionerska hut and take the chair lift to the Rila Lakes hut. From this point you’ll do a loop hike of the 7 Rila Lakes and discover the spectacular beauty of the lakes and the towering peaks. The first lake you’ll come to is The Kidney, followed by The Eye, the deepest lake in Bulgaria. Next is the highest lake, The Tear. At this point you’ll have incredible views of all the lakes, and the Balkan range in the distant background. After a break at the top you’ll continue exploring the rest of these lakes on the way down. Next is the largest lake, The Twins, followed by The Trefoil, The Fish Lake, and then The Lower Lake, which collects water from the other 6 lakes. Your trek ends at the Rila Lakes hut, where you’ll take the chair lift back to the Pionerska hut before heading back to Plovdiv.

Enjoy a full-day hike of the Rila National Park and conquer the summit of Musala, the highest mountain on the Balkan peninsula Boasting more than 180 glacial lakes, the name of the mountain is of Thracian origin and means “Plenty of Water.” Coniferous trees grow up to 170-200 feet (50-60 meters) tall, concealing diverse wildlife that includes bears, wolves, wild goats, and imperial eagles. Following a pick-up in Plovdiv, head towards Borovets, Bulgaria's oldest ski resort. The 19th-century resort is surrounded by old pine forests, and boasts one of the healthiest climates in Bulgaria. Board the gondola lift to the peak of Yastrebet (7,936 feet/2,369 meters) for the start of your trek. Your guide will lead you along the trail to the Musala Mountain Hut, and on to a stunning lake, before hiking to Icy Lake (9,078 feet/2,710 meters), the coldest and highest lake in the Rila Mountains. A short but steep ascent follows all the way to Musala’s summit (9,799 feet/2,925 meters), with spectacular vistas along the way. Gaze across at the alpine Pirin Mountains, Vitosha Mountain, Sredna Gora Mountains, and the green carpets of the Rhodope Mountains. After a break at the summit, hike back down, retracing your steps to the gondola lift and on to Borovets for the transfer back to Plovdiv.

Seeing the highest peaks of it and also about half of Bulgaria from above in just a day is an opportunity you shouldn't miss! If that's not enough for you we can add a grand finale to the adventure. If you would like to feel even more weightless and free - there's only one way. Flying. Yes, you can paraglide down from the mountain with your personal professional pilot! The tour starts with pick up from your hotel/accommodation in Plovdiv at 08:00. After an approximately 1-hour drive, we will reach the town of Sopot. From there we will take the chairlift which will shorten the walk to Dobrila mountain hut to around an hour and a half. From the hut (1804m a.s.l.) we will gain some more altitude ultimately getting to Levski peak (2166m a.s.l) - this will take approximately 1 and a half hours. The route does not have any rocky or dangerous parts. However, the route has some amazing views, the one from the peak being definitely the most spectacular. Along the way in both directions, we can use the hut as a rest stop and also for some snacks. After we descend from the mountain, on foot and then with the chairlift or something more exciting (optional is to paraglide your way to the parking), we drive back to Plovdiv. The tour ends with drop-off at your hotel/accommodation.
