Full description

Experience the wonders of Tuscany in one memorable day. Leave Florence for a 12-hour excursion and see the beautiful landscapes, architecture, and artworks of the region. Treat yourself to some local cuisine, and opt for a guided tour in your preferred language to learn even more about the historic area.

Begin with a visit to Pisa and its stunning Piazza dei Miracoli. Admire the Baptistery, the Cathedral, and, of course, the famous Leaning Tower. Visit San Gimignano, the medieval town that was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then you’ll follow the scenic roads of the Chianti region to Siena, the city of the Palio. In Siena, opt for lunch in central Piazza del Campo.

Meet your local guide for a tour of the city (if option is selected), and see its important monuments, palazzos, and piazzas. Visit Piazza del Campo, where the Palio di Siena horse race is run, and Piazza del Duomo, where you will see the exterior of the magnificent Cathedral. After some free time in Siena, you’ll head back to Florence.

I will start off by saying that this store has an error on the title, the wine in chianti is not included and we did not find out until the end which was misleading and disappointing HOWEVER this was not the fault of the tour guides but the website. The tour guide we had was awesome, The day he had planned for us went very well. Use really nice and explain things as we moved a long. One of the things that I appreciated was that he give us our own time to check out the areas, I've been another tours with a talk too much and they don't give you as much free time which can get annoying however with this to her in each area they give us plenty of time to do our own thing. I would highly recommend this tour for someone who is trying to squeeze these three towns in a day. We were thinking about doing this our selves however it would not have been possible in a lot of time it been wasted trying to figure things out.

The tour was very good and our guide (Lorenzo) was very friendly and knowledgable. The meeting point is relatively easy to get to via tram but it is a shame that the pick up isn’t in central Florence. We stopped off at Pisa first for around an hour, I think we could have had less time as really you just want to take the picture and there’s not much else around. San Gimignano was next which was really lovely, enough time to get a gelato to walk around with and a quick glass of wine but I’d have rather had 30 mins less in Pisa and 30 mins more in San Gimignano. Next was the winery which was a bit disappointing, it was a nice lunch and the host was very friendly and knowledgeable but it wasn’t really a wine tasting and the location was very industrial, not the countryside vineyard we expected. Next was Siena where we had a walking tour with Lorenzo. Overall good but a lot of time on the coach and the winery wasn’t quite what we expected.

Lorenzo is an amazing guide! Arriving early before the crowd in Pisa is a good idea. San Gimigniano is a very nice surprise. We enjoyed walking in narrow alleys & finding our way back to the group. It reminds me so much of Twilight. The wine tasting is my favorite part. The food & wine, excellent! Don’t skip the walk in Siena with your guide especially if it’s Lorenzo, he knows his history!
