Lisbon: Pillar 7 Bridge Experience Ticket

1. Lisbon: Pillar 7 Bridge Experience Ticket

Explore the 25 April Bridge, one of the world’s architectural and engineering marvels. Lisbon’s latest tourist and cultural attraction, the Pillar 7 Experience, promises to show the bridge as you've never seen it before. The experience takes you on a journey through the construction of this national treasure, before finishing off with an elevator ride up to a height of 80 meters. Here, take in a stunning panoramic view of the city, particularly of the Belém area and the Tagus River. Just stop and think for a minute about the sheer scale of the structure as you explore the area around the Pillar 7, and delve into some of the more interesting facts concerning the construction of the bridge. A suspended stairway takes you to another room where a set of overhead and underfoot mirrors lets you to see deep into the core of Pillar 7. A quite incredible view of the riverside unfolds as you move along the walkway to the much-anticipated highpoint of the visit. The viewpoint, at the same level as the roadway carried by the bridge, is one of the project’s main attractions and the views certainly don’t disappoint. Areas that have been inaccessible until now, such as the top of the pillars, can now be visited by means of a virtual reality tour if the add-on is purchased.

Lisbon: Small-Group Tour with Belém, 25 April Bridge, and VR

2. Lisbon: Small-Group Tour with Belém, 25 April Bridge, and VR

In the morning go to see Belém, a massive outdoor monument praising the Discoveries period where the caravels once left for the New World. Here you will see the Torre de Belém sitting at the Tagus riverside, and the imposing Jerónimos Monastery, both elevated to World Heritage status by UNESCO, and two of the ‘7 Wonders of Portugal’ that have dominated this landscape for 500 years. Next, go to a new viewpoint in town, located beside the iconic bridge crossing the Tagus river. Watch the amazing views from the top and see all the coastline up to Cascais. When you come down, put some VR goggles on for an awesome virtual reality experience as a maintenance worker. Don’t look down! Afterwards, cross the bridge and make your way to Cacilhas for a traditional Portuguese lunch. Before returning to Lisbon, make a quick stop at the best viewpoint over the city. The Cristo Rei statue is standing on a clifftop 133m above the sea level. Take Instagram-worthy photos and watch the breathtaking views from the other riverbank. Before drop-off in the city center, make a final stop at another viewpoint, which is less crowded and learn about a lesser-known area of Lisbon.

To repeat!

The experience itself was fabulous, on the one hand quite pedagogical, on the other with magnificent views. I only regret the lack of sympathy of the reception staff, who seemed to be doing us a favor (and annoyed). In contrast, the front desk clerk and the security guards along the way were very helpful and friendly. Anyway, highly recommended and we will repeat.

Experience with interest for the place.

A good experience that enriches us in terms of knowledge. Good overview of the place. In my opinion, the visit should have more assistants in order to help in the respective circuit.

Experience full of information! Expert guide did not make us miss any kind of information about Lisbon, extremely nice and friendly. Available and attentive. Great experience!
