Full description
Embark on a full-day guided speedboat tour of the Similan Islands from Phuket or Khaolak. Explore the underwater world at Ba Ngu's coral bay, relax on the pristine shores of Miang Island, and enjoy a buffet lunch. Start the trip with a convenient transfer service to Love Andaman private pier at Tablamu. Enjoy a light breakfast with tea or coffee as you receive a briefing from your tour guide.  Hop on a first-class speedboat and head for the Similan Islands. The first stop is known as Donald Duck Bay or Island No. 8. Here, you can hike to the Sail-Rock to admire the amazing scenery or spend time at the sandy beach swimming and sunbathing.  Visit the first snorkeling spot of Ba Ngu Island or Island No. 9. Explore the breathtaking coral bay, the best location to see different species of fish in the colorful underwater world. Take a break and enjoy a home-cooked Thai lunch buffet at noon. Enjoy fresh fruit as you relax on Thailand's most beautiful white sand beach.  Continue to the second snorkeling spot, where it is time to find Nemo at Payu Island or Island No. 7. Sea turtles and clownfish are often sighted here.  Take a rest at Miang Island or Island No. 4 and head to the gorgeous beaches of Honeymoon Bay and Princess Bay. Head back to the pier and be transferred back to your accommodation with wonderful memories.

We absolutely loved the day trip. Teddy, our guide, was super fun and great at his job. The day was well organized, everything went smoothly and we had enough time to enjoy every stop. Similan island is a must when you’re in Thailand. Would definitely recommend it!

As many others have already said: it is mass extinction. If you don't want that, you should book an early bird tour... if that's really better. The pickup from the hotel worked well. Instruction on site was quite chaotic. You couldn't understand the guide because of the strong accent and the Chinese instructions next door. The boat takes you out to the islands in 75 minutes. At the first stop you can scramble up to the characteristic view, where it is really beautiful. After that came two snorkeling stops. Be prepared to “swim” around there with a hundred other people. We saw some very cool fish, but otherwise the corals looked pretty dead. We didn't even go to the turtle spots. Then comes the food... which could be better. At the end we went to Honeymoon Beach... it's really beautiful. If you know what you're getting into, it's totally fine.

The islands are breathtakingly beautiful, that is pure Caribbean. The tour is definitely worth it. Just getting there from Phuket (Patong) takes about 2 hours by van and then another 75 minutes by boat. The boat doesn't come directly to the beach, so you have to go into waist-high water to get to land. Not for everyone. However, it is worth it for this nature and these Caribbean beaches. The food at both breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets were very tasty. Sometimes the English speaking guide got lost because there was also someone who translated the information in Thai and Russian. All in all, a very nice, worthwhile trip.
