Discover Phillip Island as you have never seen it. Your 16-minute helicopter scenic flight commences as you leave the heliport and track the spectacular coastline, passing Smiths Beach, Surfers Point and Cunningham Bay. Marvel at the amazing views of the world-famous Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, home to Moto GP, World Superbikes and V8 Supercars. Fly overland to Berry's Reef, and pass by the appropriately named Pyramid Rock. Look below and you might catch a glimpse of the shipwreck SS Speke as you fly over Kitty Miller Bay. Move on to Summerland Beach, home to the little penguins, who arrive home here each night at dusk. Arrive at Seal Rocks and The Nobbies. Depart from the heliport and turn left at the coast, heading for Cape Woolamai. Fly over the Cape Woolamai Surf Beach, regarded as one of the best surf beaches in the country, before flying around the Cape itself to take in views that can only be seen by helicopter. Head over the water towards the San Remo Bridge with great views of the fishing villages of San Remo and Newhaven. Follow the coast over to Rhyll and its Inlet, where migratory birds fly thousands of kilometers to feed. Move on to the main township of Cowes, Red Rocks Point and Ventnor before the spectacular Nobbies and Seal Rocks come into view. Seal Rocks are home to Australia’s largest colony of fur seals. This exciting activity heads south towards Phillip Island from Melbourne. On the way, your guide will share interesting stories as well as facts about Melbourne and the region, including pointing out where some international celebrity holiday spots lie. Stop first for a locally-sourced lunch of your selection (own expense) for tours between April-October at the seaside town of San Remo. Then explore Phillip Island. Visit a family-run open-range wildlife sanctuary where you can feed kangaroos, emus, and wallabies and walk among up to 80 species of native animals and birds, including koalas, wombats, and echidnas. Following the wildlife encounter, head straight to the rugged cliff faces of the Nobbies overlooking Western Port Bay and the Bass Strait, one of the most dangerous stretches of water in the world. Have your camera ready, as you might even spot some seals on the rocks below. Next, tour in your vehicle through the areas where the little penguin burrows lie. Keep an eye out for the birds of prey that circle the nature reserve from above. After a full day of up-close nature experiences with native Australian wildlife, get ready for the highlight of the evening: the little penguin parade. Experience the nightly parade from the beachfront viewing stands as the penguins emerge from the waves and waddle across the sand. Join your ranger guide for an informative journey through the penguin colony at the Phillip Island Nature Parks, with their commentary via your personal headset. Take your seat in the wonderfully located beachfront viewing stand and get a magnificent view of the penguins emerging from the water and crossing the beach. Use the supplied binoculars to try and spot the penguins gathering in the water before they make their way across the beach to their burrows.

It’s time to hit the road with a small group (max 8 guests). Enjoy a complimentary tea or coffee and sit back and relax as you take the 1hr 45min drive down to Phillip Island. First stop is a surfer’s dream beach, Cape Woolamai. From here, lace up the boots and start the hike that will guide you through rugged rock formations, known as the Pinnacles. As you make your way around the Nature Park of Phillip Island, witness stunning views over the Bass Strait and pounding surf below. Look out for wallabies, echidnas, shearwater birds and whales in the winter months. After an easy/moderate 6.8km hike, you will head into Cowes for a delicious lunch or dinner (depending on the season) at one of the favourite local cafes or restaurants before making your way to the Phillip Island Koala Reserve. Stroll through this eucalyptus woodland and come ‘face-to-face’ with koalas in their natural habitat. The Koala Reserve’s unique tree top boardwalks and close viewing areas allow visitors to see how truly amazing koalas are. Next stop is The Nobbies for an easy stroll along the boardwalk to discover breathtaking coastline views and the impressive thundering blowhole. This area is home to Australia’s largest seal colony, little penguins and silver gulls. And to finish the day you will take a waddle on the wild side and see hundreds (sometimes thousands) of penguins emerge from the surf at sunset at the world-famous Penguin Parade. This experience is a wildlife lover’s dream! Please note: During the summer months, be sure to eat prior to our 11:30 am departure.
