So I was a VIP on this tour. Annett led the tour and her colleague came along to experience it and he also gave me tidbits of history (he runs the history tour). This tours taught me so much about the South Italian market, the history of the area and the wider history of Philly, the history of the art and the politics of the area. It was so much that I would not have been able to discover by myself in the time. My eyes were also opened up to some of the more unusual things that are eaten in Philly, yes I'm talking about chocolate / peanut butter bacon. It tasted so right but I knew it was so wrong!! We also tried sooooo many other treats and snacks which would have cost me a fortune had I ventured solo or would not have been privy to (the caviar was a welcome and luxurious treat). Annett was also such a saint as it rained and she shared her umbrella with me ;) Definitely a tour I'd recommend to do in Philly
thought Nate was an excellent tour guide. I was very disappointed that we could not gain entry to Independence Hall, the Betsy Ross House and the Ben Franklin house. I had called your customer service to inquire if the entrance fees were paid on our behalf . The advertising Iis very ambiguous stating that " ALL of the buildings are included " or something to that effect . The customer service rep was really hesitant in his reply but assured me that we could go into all of the buildings. Well, technically yes, if you pay a separate fee. I would suggest you clarify your advertising to indicate that only "Free of Charge" buildings will be available for entrance on this tour. I will be notifying Trip Advisor of my observations.
Our tour guide, Sarah was funny and informative. Despite it being an insanely cold night in Philly she definitely kept the momentum going with stories I never heard of. Not advised to bring your children as it goes against everything they have learned in their text books in school. I'm glad my husband and I braved the cold to have fun!
It was a really informative tour with some humor thrown in here and there. Our tour guide, Terry, was very interesting and had some great facts and stories about the area. Remember it is an outdoor tour, so make sure you dress accordingly. Would definitely recommend this tour to others.
Definitely worth the money. Got to see more places than I even knew existed. The guide was informative but also tailored the experience to us. Also gave great recommendations for where to find a really good Philly cheesesteak...no it’s not Pats or Ginos!
