On average it takes about 7 minutes from departing the Marina until whales are sighted, with over 35000 Humpbacks migrating, binoculars aren't required, there's plenty to see. The cruise goes for approximately 2 hours in the sheltered waters of Flinders Bay, Augusta which is a resting place for the whales whilst on their northern migration. Quite often sighted here is the Southern Right whale - always amazing to see as they were once almost extinct from being hunted back in the whaling days, and due to their gestation period their populations haven't quite recovered as well as the Humpbacks.

- Great guide who provided very insightful info and history about the places. - Timing for each destination is well spaced out & you don’t feel like you are being rushed from 1 place to another - we have a fairly big group that day, the Guide may need an extra assistant to support him during the trip. Nevertheless, he was quite amazing as a 1-man show.

Great value for money. It is a very long day and remote but really comfortable bus and seats. Real mix of great experiences. Would highly recommend.

This is a real fun activity for family; swimming with wild dolphins in open water is a must do tour. 2 thumbs up!!

An amazing day out and our guide was very knowledgeable and you can see he enjoys his job.

We were hampered by the weather, but Gavin did his best to compensate.
