Visit the Pergamon Museum, whose redevelopment will transform it into a worldwide attraction among the Berlin museums. The redevelopment is still ongoing, however, you will be able to enjoy most of the museum. The Antiquity Collection The Pergamon antique collection is one of the world's most significant collections of Greek and Roman art. See the architectural installations from Ancient Greece and Rome, including the gem of Roman architecture: the Market Gate of Miletus from circa 100 AD. As part of the renovation, the hall with the Pergamon Altar will remain closed until at least 2024. The Middle East Museum The Middle East Museum collects artifacts of the 6,000-year cultural history of civilizations such as Mesopotamia, Assyria, and Anatolia. Among the 270,000 objects, the main attractions are the reconstruction of the gloriously colorful Ishtar Gate and the Procession Way of Babylon from the time of Nebuchadnezzar II. Gaze in wonder at the earliest examples of writing in Cuneiform script on clay tablets from Uruk. Islamic Art Museum The Museum for Islamic Art displays both masterpieces of applied art and archaeological artifacts from Muslim as well as Christian and Jewish groups from the 8th to 19th century. Let yourself be amazed by architectural works that you will not find in any other museum. See the richly decorated stone facade of the Mshatta palace and the famous Aleppo Room with its colorfully painted wall paneling.

This 360-degree panorama by famed Iranian architect Yadegar Asisi includes 40 new scenes he has woven into the picture. Move on and get up close to 80 of the Antikensammlung’s most important works from Pergamon, including the largest piece of the Telephos frieze from the Pergamon Altar. For a set time only, you'll be able to experience the Pergamon Altar in its original architectural context, on the Acropolis. All of the city’s notable sculptures are on view, including the Beautiful Head, the giant head of Herakles, portrait sculptures of the king, the Archaistic Dancer from the palace, the Prometheus group, and the Athena with cross-strapped shield. This exhibition is suitable for all the family thanks to the combination of archaeological research and modern artistic visions.

The Pergamon Museum was an extraordinary experience. Well worth a visit despite part of the museum being closed for renovations. We also had some excellent soup and lemonade at the museum cafe at a very reasonable price.

Extremely good museum with a fantastic collection. The ticket price is worth it just to see the Ishtar Gate, and although this was the highlight of our visit, there is so much more ro see here as well. Friendly Staff too.

Audio guide gives the perfect feel to every pieces of history and information. The structures were made beautifully specially market gate, Ishtar gate, Babylon procession.

Great museum with a lot of interesting things to see, I especially enjoyed the Middle Easte Museum exhibition.

En fantastisk oplevelse i et meget flot og moderne museum.
