What people are saying about Pella, Greece
Absolutely fabulous... The mosaics in Pella are incredibly well preserved and are a sight to behold... The Vergina tombs are amazing, breathtaking. If you like history and archeology this is the place to be. It's not hard to catapult yourself 3000 years back in time and imagine what it was like back then. Our bus driver and "guide", a very jovial guy, who knew what he was talking about, was not allowed/could not guide us on the Pella site and also in Vergina because he does not have a license for this. Very unfortunate because he has a very large historical and archaeological knowledge. So we had to see the two sites without a guide...
We had a very enjoyable excursion. Eleni, our tour guide, was attentive, kind and she gave us very detailed explanations about the history of every place. Also, she was open to talk, so we could discuss many things about the history, current affairs and places of interest in Thessaloniki, Pella and Greece in general. We didn't know what we would find at the time of booking the trip, but now we would definitely book it again.
Amazing experience! One of the best tours I have been to. The guide, Lazaros was engaging and informative. He spoke to each of the guests and made sure all our questions were answered. Lunch was great as we were able to select our dish or if we want to just skip lunch and go back to the city. I learned do much about Macedonia that I wish the tour lasted longer.
I found this tour interesting either the site of Pella or the visit to Vergina. The tombs of the Macedonian Kings are just impressive and the location is super good
Trip which is connecting two historical places was well organised on time whole. Really pretty nice all
