Join this active excursion to take part in the most comprehensive day tour of Tierra del Fuego. In addition to Gable Island, visit the Harberton Ranch and the penguin colony on Martillo Island. Leave Ushuaia toward the east until you arrive at Lasifashaj River. There, preparations will begin to paddle inflatable canoes along the river and the Beagle Channel. You will be provided with rubber boots, trousers, and life jackets to paddle downstream and to the sea in the Beagle Channel. Meet your guides at 11:30 am to begin your kayaking adventure through Los Glaciares National Park. Get outfitted with a dry Gore-Tex suit, thermal suit, boots, gloves, and life jacket with the help of the guides. After suiting up, head to the lakeshore to receive safety instructions and do some warm-up exercises. Then hop in your kayak for a 1.5 hour tour of the park and the glacier. Your guides will be with you the whole way to direct you to the most important sights and provide information on the park and its history. Start your outdoor adventure with a convenient pickup from your hotel in El Calafate and head to the Luz Divina Parador. Equip yourself with the gear waiting for you at your destination and get on to the water to begin your river tour. Paddle down the river and admire the scenic views. You'll reach the halfway mark after about 10 miles. Get back to dry land as you take a two-hour trekking tour through Cerro Los Hornos. Explore River Las Vueltas as you paddle its numerous curves through lenga forests and vertical walls. Admire the stunning natural scenery with interesting rock formations and views of the Fitz Roy from your kayak.   Meet your group at the meeting point, and head to River Las Vueltas. This river is born in the del Desierto Lake and it descends towards Lake Viedma transporting water from the melting of glaciers in the region.  This natural viewpoint is located on the edges of a ravine of height, with walls of interesting rock formations that were pierced by the passage of the river for thousands of years. From there you have excellent views towards the village of El Chaltén and the whole massif of the Torre and Fitz Roy hills.  From the river, get a privileged position in the kayak and for more than 20 kilometers enjoy amazing views of the Fitz Roy and its satellite needles, with an entirely different perspective from what can be seen from a path.

We had a fantastic time on this trip, the canoeing was great fun and not too physically challenging, the guides were fantastic at keeping us on track and entertained. Santiago our trekking guide was very friendly bi-lingual and highly knowledgable about the local history, nature and generally about ushuaia. Lunch was delicous. Overall very satisfied and would highly recommend the trip to all.

A must do!! We had the chance to take this tour with my wife and we absolutely loved it. The guides were funny and whitty. Knowledgable and with a genuine love and interest for their work. The places we visited were great. It was a trully lovely visit and a great experience at the end of the world!!

Great tour! Well organized and an extremely engaging knowledgeable guide who enjoys nature. Lunch was great too. Gladly again!
