2. Kathmandu: 10-Day Annapurna Base Camp Yoga Trek

Day 1: Arrival to Kathmandu Airport (1,345 meters) You will be met by your representative before being transferred to your hotel for a short brief about the trekking and some refreshments. That evening you will overnight at your Kathmandu hotel. Day 2: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara On your second day you will travel for 5-6 hours to Pokhara by tourist bus. In the evening you'll have free time to self-explore around Phewa Lake, before spending the night at the Hotel Third Pole or similar. Day 3: Drive to Modktu (1,250 meters), Chhomrong Trek (2,170 meters) On your third day you will begin the trek from Siwai. You will travel in a shared vehicle for 3 hours to Siwai, traversing along the snake-line road via Naudanda, Nayapul, and Birethanti. The trekking route from Siwai to Chhomrong is very picturesque, and at the conclusion of the day you will stay at the Teahouse Lodge. Day 4: Trek to Himalaya Hotel (2,840 meters) Take a morning walk downhill to the river, before crossing a short bridge and heading up to Sinuwa, at 2,330 meters. This is a lonely spot with a few shops and nice lodges, and from there you can walk into the cool forested area of oaks-rhododendron and pines trees before taking a short steep descent to Bamboo. Bamboo is a small settlement with 5-6 lodges surrounded by bamboo trees which sits on the Modi River Gorge. Day 5: Trek to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130 meters) Today the trail continues steeply up to the Hinko Cave. You will soon begin a short descent before crossing a rocky moraine. Following that, a short climb will take you to Deurali. That night you will overnight at the Tea House Lodge. Day 6: Trek back to Bamboo (2,310 meters) Day 6 will begin with you observing the splendid sunrise from the Annapurna Base Camp. After breakfast, you will begin to descend. You will take a hike down to Modi Khola at Bamboo, which contains an elevation drop of 1,700 meters. That evening you will overnight at the Bamboo Tea House lodge. Day 7: Trek from Bamboo to Jhinu Hot Spring (1,780 meters) Jhinu Danda is the destination set for today. From Bamboo you will first hike up to to Kuldhigar, where the office of ACAP and the visitor center is located. The Jhinu hot spring is then 15-20 minutes downhill from Jhinu Danda. You can relax your tired muscles by taking a relaxing dip in the hot spring bathing pool, before your evening is spent at a lodge in Jhinu Danda. Day 8: Jhinu to Pokhara (1,640 meters) Today you can choose to go to the hot spring once more, before beginning your trek down to Nayapul. You will then drive back to Pokhara. where you will overnight at the Hotel Third Pole. Day 9: Drive back to Kathmandu On your second last day you will travel back to Kathmandu by tourist bus, a journey which takes about 6 hours. That evening you'll overnight at the Thamel Eco Resort or Skyline Hotel. Day 10: Kathmandu On your final day you will transfer to the international airport for your final flight departure.

3. From Kathmandu: 11-Day Annapurna Base Camp Trek

This Annapurna Base Camp Trek is a shorter trip catering to time-pressed travelers. You may opt for the longer Annapurna Sanctuary Trek – 14 Days if you would like to maximize your adventure. Join Alpine Club of Himalaya’s trekking expedition to Annapurna I, the 10th highest mountain in the world at 8,091m (26,545 ft) above sea level. Apart from the Annapurna 1, the Annapurna massif includes thirteen peaks over 7,000 meters and sixteen more over 6,000 meters. Our journey begins in Pokhara, widely known as the ‘Lake City. Pokhara offers magnificent views of Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Machhapuchhare, and Annapurna. Throughout our journey, we will encounter cascading waterfalls, beautiful villages, terraced farmlands, lush rhododendron forests, and amazing mountains. Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft) Welcome Dinner Day 2: Fly to Pokhara (823m/2,700ft) 30-minute flight, trek to Ghandruk (1940m/6360 ft): 5 – 6 hours trek We take a flight to Pokhara, the right side of the plane will offer the best views of The Himalayas. Representatives of Alpine Club of Himalaya will pick you up at the Pokhara airport. Then We take a 1 hour and 20-minute drive to Nayapul (new bridge) on the main road near Birethanti and begin our trek. From Birethanti, we trek to Ghandruk, a beautiful village mostly inhabited by the Gurung community. If time permits, you can visit the Gurung museum. Overnight in Ghandruk. Meals- Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner Day 3: Ghandruk to Chhomrong (2170m/7120ft): 5 – 6 hours Day 4: Chhomrong to Bamboo (2310m/7578ft): 4 – 5 hours Day 5: Bamboo to Deurali (3230m/10,595ft): 3 – 4 hours Day 6: Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m/13,545ft) via Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3700m/12135ft): 5 – 6 hours Day 7: Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo: 7 – 8 hours We climb gently through a river bed then over a steep trail over to the mountainside, and then a somewhat strenuous hike from Bagar to Machhapuchhre Base Camp. From the base camp, we get excellent views of the majestic Machhapuchhre along with Mt. Hiunchuli, Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Annapurna III, Gandharvachuli, and Gangapurna. The vegetation becomes scarce thereafter and the path widens as we enter the Annapurna sanctuary. From here, we get sensational views of the near-vertical south face of Annapurna towering above us. The sanctuary boasts of a dynamic view without anything impeding the 360-degree panorama. From the base camp, we again get to savor mesmerizing views of the Machhapuchhre, Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Hiunchuli, and other peaks. Overnight at Annapurna Base Camp. Meals- Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner Day 8: Bamboo to Jhinu Danda (1760m/5770 ft): 5 – 6 hours Day 9: Trek to Naya Pul then drive to Pokhara: 6 hours trek, 1-hour drive Day 10: Fly to Kathmandu Day 11: Final Departure: Home Sweet Home Representatives of Alpine Club of Himalaya will transport you to the airport. Meals- Breakfast.
