1. Pokhara: 7-Day Trek to Annapurna Base Camp and Hot Springs

The experience begins with pickup from your hotel and heads to the trek’s starting point in Nayapul. Get kitted out with all the necessary equipment while your permits are checked then set out along the Modi Khola River, passing through several small villages on the way. Cross over the river to reach the village of Jhinu Danda, before arriving at your accommodation for the night, a quaint tea lodge. Day two starts with an uphill trek to Chhomrong, one of the largest villages along the route. Continue the walk through a dense forest landscape to reach your accommodation for the second night. Enjoy a leisurely trek to Deurali on day three, stopping for lunch against the backdrop of the stunning Himalayas. On day four, follow the trail across several streams towards the Machhapuchhare Base Camp, then hike to Ablation Valley. Follow your guide through the valley, which is a hollow corridor between the glacier and the mountain, then cross over the hills to reach Annapurna Base Camp where you’ll spend the night. On day five, hike through the only way out of Annapurna Sanctuary towards Bamboo. Bamboo is 1,600 m lower than Annapurna Base Camp, so you should expect a hard day on your knees. After a restful night’s sleep, continue your hike down the valley on day six, soaking up panoramic views as you descend to Chomrong and then Jhinu. Arrive at Jhinu and enjoy a well-deserved rest in one of the hot spring baths. Wake up on the final day to a short morning trek, passing by the quaint farmland that surrounds the river. At the end of an unforgettable seven-day trek, arrive back in Nayapul for your drop-off to Pakhora.

2. Pokhara: 3-Day Trek

Exploring the area around Pokhara gives you an opportunity to experience what it is like trekking in the Himalayas. The region is about 30 kilometers northwest of Pokhara, closer to Mount Fishtail and Annapurna Himalayas. The trail winds through the scenic and popular teahouse settlement of "Australian camp" and follows the ridge through Dhampus to Astam village. Most of the route is scenic with charming villages, terraces glistening with seasonal crops across the sweeping valley that is walled in to the north by gigantic snow peaks. First, climb to the ridge and then follow the ridge to Astam village. There are several options of driving to the highest point and making the trip shorter and the route can be customized as per your walking interest.  Accommodation: Spend the first night at Australian camp overlooking the Himalayas. This is a small teahouse settlement in the Rhododendron forest above Dhampus village. These teahouses are well established and have professionally catered to trekkers for over 15 years. The accommodation will have an attached toilet and bathroom with hot shower.  The second night in Astam village will be spent at "Annapurna Eco Village Resort" which has simple yet comfortable rooms with attached bathroom / toilet. The hilltop resort and the village adopts eco-friendly measures of reusing water, rainwater harvesting and organic farming. Guides:  A professional, licensed and experienced trekking guide will lead the walking. There will be porters to carry luggage to each day's destination who can offer a deeper perspective on Nepalese lifestyle, culture and stories from the mountains.  Meals: Meals are not included in this package but it is possible to order meals in the teahouses and pay directly. These teahouses serve simple but delicious international cuisines.  Trek Itinerary: Day 1: Drive to Naudanda and hike to Australian camp Drive for about half an hour to Naudanda in the western valley rim of Pokhara, walk gradually down to the stream and climb to Dhampus in 2 hours. Walk another 1 hour to Pothana village and stop for lunch. After lunch, walk 30 minutes to Australian camp for the overnight stop.  Day 2: Trek 4 hours to Annapurna Eco village Resort in Astam Enjoy breakfast in the morning with a view of the Himalayas. Later walk along the scenic ridge to Astam village. Check in "Annapurna Eco Village Resort". Enjoy the organic meals and learn about the organic farm, village and the eco-friendly measures they are undertake.  Day 3: Trek 2 hours down to the highway and drive back to Pokhara

3. From Pokhara: 2-Day Australian Camp Trek

Day 1: Start with pickup from your hotel or residence in Lakeside, Pokhara at 8:30 AM. Meet your guide and enjoy breakfast in Pokhara. After breakfast, hop in your transport and travel to Kande, a journey which takes approximately 1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Kande, start your hike to the Australian Camp. Trek uphill through the beautiful forest for about 2 hours to reach the Australian Camp. From here, enjoy fantastic view of the Annapurna Mountain Range including the peaks of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Annapurna South Hiuchuli, Annapurna II and IV, and Lamjung Himal. You may also visit the beautiful village of Pothana. After your day of trekking, enjoy a stay overnight in a tea lodge house, with all meals included. Day 2: Wake early in the morning to catch the sunrise and beautiful Himalayas view. Enjoy breakfast at the lodge before beginning a hike down from the Australian Camp to Phedi via Dhampus village. After hiking down, be returned to Pokhara.

Day 1 After getting picked up from your hotel in Pokhara, enjoy a 1-hour drive to Birethanti, where you will begin your trek. Ascend through a landscape of teahouses and stunning scenery to reach the Magar village of Ulleri after 2 hours, where you will spend the night. Day 2 Enjoy a 2-hour trek through stone steps this morning. Admire panoramic views of Annapurna and Mt. Fishtail as you ascend into an alpine forest. Stop for a break at one of the route's many teahouses before reaching Ghorepani after 6 hours. From here, enjoy views of the world's deepest valley before retreating to a teahouse lodge for the night. Day 3 Rise early to watch the sunrise from Poon Hill. This is sure to be one of the highlights of your trip as you admire the sun rising over 15 mountain peaks. Marvel at some of the world's largest peaks before descending to Ghorepani. After sunrise, follow a trail that will take you through a rhododendron forest, over mountain ridges to reach Tadapani, where you will spend the night at another teahouse lodge. Day 4 Today, enjoy a short descent to the village of Ghandruk. Soak up the atmosphere of this charming mountain village as you wander through streets filled with thatch and slate roof houses and farming terraces. Stop for lunch at a viewpoint where you can admire views of Annapurna South and Huinchuli. Afterward, continue trekking for 1 more hour before catching a ride back to Pokhara, where you will be dropped off at your hotel.

From Pokhara: 2-Day Poon Hill Trek

5. From Pokhara: 2-Day Poon Hill Trek

See some of the best sites of the Annapurna Region on a short but sweet overnight hike. Spend the night in a mountain cottage and enjoy meals in the great outdoors.  Day 1: Begin the day with breakfast before departing Pokhara in a 4-wheel off-roading vehicle. It takes 2-4 hours to reach Upper Ulleari, depending on traffic, season, and viewpoint stops. Ulleari is a beautiful Gurung village at an altitude of 2,090 meters. From the last station of Upper Ulleari, start the real Poon Hill trek, crossing the villages of Banthanti, Nangithanti, and Lower Ghorepani. Stop for lunch either in Banthanti or Nangithanti. Reach the Ghorepani camp at the base of Poon Hill at an altitude of 2,860 meters. Dinner and overnight in a cottage.  Day 2: Before sunrise, hike 45-60 minutes to Poon Hill at a height of 3,210 meters. Be mesmerized by the colors and panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayas. On clear days, you can see up to 32 peaks including the 12 peaks of the Bhara Shikhar. Return to camp for a hot breakfast and begin the trek down following the same trail. Return to the 4x4 for drop-off at your hotel in Pokhara.

Day 1 After an hours drive in a private vehicle from Pokhara, begin your trek at Birethanti, a large village with many shops and teahouses. Start walking from Birethanti and after ascending steeply for the first 2 hours, ascend gently to reach at Ulleri, a large Magar village at an altitude of 2,070m. Stay overnight at a guest house. Day 2 Follow the path for breathtaking views of Machapuchare mountain (6997m), Hiunchuli peak (6441m), and the grand Annapurna (7219m) south on the way. Follow the quite easy trail, passing forest and rhododendron trees on the way to Ghorepani. Then, stay overnight at aguest house. Day 3 Take a one hour early morning hike to Poon Hill (3232m) which offers you the sunrise view over Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m), Tukuche Peak (6920m.), Nilgiri (6940m), Varaha Shikhar (7847m), Mt. Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna South (7219m), Annapurna III (7855m), Machhapuchhare (6993m), Annapurna IV (7525m), Annapurna II (7937m), Lamjung Himal (6931m) and other numerous snowcapped mountains. Hike down to Ghorepani and after a hot breakfast at the Lodge, trek to Tadapani (2650m). For the most part of the trail, enjoy a trek through the colorful jungle of pine and rhododendron trees. Then, stay overnight at a guesthouse. Day 4 Today, follow a trail which descends down through forests to Ghandruk for easy trekking and a gentle descent all the way through rhododendron, oak and other kinds of dense forests. Then, enjoy Ghandruk, a big Gurung village and the home to many Gorkha soldiers as well as one of the more popular destinations for trekkers because of its beautiful mountain views. Later, explore the Gurung village before staying overnight at a guesthouse. Day 5 Take an easy trek to descend from Ghandruk all the way down to Kimchi before crossing Seulibazzar via Birethanti and finally driving back to Pokhara.

Get a taste of the Himalayas in this 3-day trek through dense green forest and paddy fields. With the help of an expert guide, learn the traditions of the local people as well as the history of the Annapurna region.     Day 1: Pokhara to Ghandruk (1540m) 5-6 hours hike.  The day starts with hotel pickup and a 1.5-hour drive to Nayapul. From Nayapul trek up to Ghandruk, enjoying the dense green forest along the way. Once in Ghandruk, visit the Gurung museum to learn the history of the region and the traditions of the Gurung community. Spot the nearby peaks such as Annapurna South, Gangapurna, Annapurna II, Hinuchuli, and Fishtail. Overnight in lodge.   Day 2: Gandruk to Pothana (2870m) 5-6 hours hike. Wake up early to witness the first rays of sun over the Himalayas. After breakfast, descend down to Modi Khola then climb up to Landruk village. Pass through paddy fields and walk past the village of Deurali before reaching the overnight lodge in Pothana. Day 3: Pothana to Pokhara, 3-4 hours hike. Spend the morning exploring Pothana and take in great views of Annapurna Massif, Fishtail, and other mountains. The trek then begins to Phedi, where the coach will be waiting to return the group to Pokhara.

Day 1: Arrival to Kathmandu Following your arrival to Kathmandu, transfer to your hotel to check in. Following that, begin some city sightseeing which includes the Pashupatinath Temple - the most sacred of the Hindu temples in Nepal. Moving on, discover the Boudha Nath Temple, which is the world’s largest stupa. Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing Your morning city sightseeing tour visits highlights of the city, including Durbar Square, Hanuman Dhoka, the ancient royal residential quarter, Mahadev, and the Parvati Temple. Hike to places within the rim of the Pokhara Valley, and walk to the surroundings which offer captivating glimpses of rural life. After traveling back to your hotel, enjoy breakfast before exploring the Bindyabasini Temple, International Mountain Museum, the Seti River, Devi’s Fall, and the Gupteshowre Mahadev Cave. Day 5: return to Kathmandu Following breakfast, begin your 5-hour trip to travel back to Kathmandu or opt instead to take a morning flight. At the conclusion of your day, receive a welcome-back dinner accompanied by a Nepali cultural program. Day 6: Depart from Kathmandu Following collection from your accommodation, your guide drops you off to the airport where your tour concludes.

From Pokhara: 5-day Mardi Himal Trek

9. From Pokhara: 5-day Mardi Himal Trek

Day 1: At 8:30 AM, your guide will meet with you at your hotel in Pokhara. Then, drive to Kande and trek to Pothana/Deurali (2125 m). Overnight stay at a teahouse lodge. Day 2: Trek to Low Camp (3150 m). The next day, the trail continues to the low camp at height of 3150 m. It will take about 3 hours to reach and, once there, you will be able to enjoy views of beautiful rhododendron trees covered with moss, fern, and lichen. The best view from this camp is the splendid Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) Mountain. There are just 3 lodges at the low camp and you will stay in Low Camp GH or similar. Overnight stay at a teahouse lodge. Day 3: Trek to High Camp (3700 m). On day 3, trek straight to the high camp, which will take around 5 to 6 hours to reach. Pass through the Mardi Ridge, which shall provide majestic views of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Annapurna South and Hiunchuli. Isolated rhododendron bushes and colorful Danphe pheasants are also a major attraction of the trail. There are 3 hotels at the high camp, which are much bigger than the ones at the low camp. The best hotel there is Trekkers Paradise, with internet facilities, hot and cold water, showers etc. Overnight stay at a teahouse lodge. Day 4: Hike to Mardi Base Camp and trek down to Sidding (4500 m). On day 4, the trek arrives at Mardi Base Camp. Start the journey there after breakfast. It will take around 5 hours to get to. Explore the area and enjoy the exotic flora and fauna, mountain ranges, and snowy landscape. After spending some time there, begin the descent back to Sidding. It will take around 4 hours. The way can be slippery too, so caution is advised here. Stay at Trekkers Lodge or similar at Sidding. Organic and non-organic foods, water, internet facilities available. Overnight stay at a teahouse lodge. Day 5: Drive back to Pokhara by Jeep. From Sidding, trek to Lumre, passing through the villages of Kalimati and Ghalel. From Lumre, travel by Jeep until arrival back in Pokhara. You will be dropped off at your hotel.

Kathmandu: 10-Day Gosaikunda Trek

10. Kathmandu: 10-Day Gosaikunda Trek

Day 1: Following your arrival to Kathmandu, you will be taken for an overnight at your hotel. Day 2: You will meet in the morning with your guide with whom you will drive to Sundarijal. From there you will trek to Chisapani, walking for 4 hours to overnight at a tea house. Day 3: Your third day will begin with a trek to Kutumsang, throughout which you will pass through the Tamang Village whilst witnessing the splendid views of the Himalayan ranges on your way to reach Kutumsang. Day 4: On your fourth day you will trek to Tharepati, passing through pine and rhododendron forest and enjoying the great views down into the Helambu Valley. Day 5: Trek To Phedi Walking for 5 hours on a trail which descends to a stream and ascends along the ridge. Passing through rhododendron and juniper forests, this trek offers an unimaginable view of the Laurebina Pass. Day 6: Today you will pass four small lakes and descend through rugged trials to reach Gosaikunda. There are three sacred lakes in Gosainkunda, which consist of Saraswati Kunda, Bharavi Kunda, and Gosaikunda. At the conclusion of the day you will reach Gosainkunda. Day 7: From Lake Saraswati Kunda, the trail ascends to a ridge. There you will discover good views across the Langtang Valley to Langtang Lirung. To the west you will see dramatic views of Himalchuli, Ganesh Himal, and Manaslu, and from this ridge you will descend to Sing Gompa via Laurebina. Day 8: Trek all the way down to Dhunche through a forest of oaks, firs, and rhododendrons. Dhunche is the district headquarter of Rasuwa. Day 9: Today you will enjoy a 6-hour local drive to Kathmandu, where you will overnight in a hotel. Day 10: Your final day will see you dropped off at the airport.

Short trek which requires an effort, without however exhausting itself, effort rewarded by the access to magnificent landscapes, not only to Poon Hil; the stages allow you to see the life of mountain villages and to share experiences. I regret not having done this kind of hike before!

The organization was correct. Everything was coordinated. Transportation, accommodation, meals and the route that interested me was fulfilled. The very professional guide, I take care of all the details. I've already been to Pokhara and I knew what to expect.
