Full description
Depart at 3:15 PM for your walking food tour. Learn the story of Moulin Rouge and how it got that name. Pass the cabarets and theaters and listen as your guide tells you their stories. Make a stop at a secret coffee shop with an amazing courtyard and house from the 19th century. Have your first pastry tasting here. Your next stop will be at a master cheese ripener, where you will taste some cheese. Learn from the local craftsman that you will meet. Continue the tour and discover a romantic neighborhood where the most famous artists, painters, and musicians lived. Walk through the most famous street of the 19th century where the most famous actresses and actors were living. Next, discover a surprising restaurant where you will sample a local dish and beverage. This neighborhood is very charming with a particularly cute square. Head to the famous street of Rue des Martyrs, which is a very old Merchant street from the 18th century. Here, try amazing sweet and savory products and hear the stories of the shop owners. Finish your food tour in a delicatessen-restaurant where you will have a food and wine pairing experience.

Our guide Sev was very enthusiastic and happy to share her insights with us. We had a very pleasant and interesting afternoon. The stops were good, and I liked that she told us about a lot more than just the food. (Some expected the tour to be in German, so the language should be made clear when booking.)

Extremely nice. We got to know many great shops and learned a lot about the history of food. The only negative: the tour was offered in bilingual German/English and booked by us, but only spoken in English.
